Crafting in. Going Mining -> Mysticism to mine my hilled city faster, since it needs them to be good.

I think Bob thinks I'm C&Ding this...

lol.

Maybe I should just to prove him right. :P

Since it seems we have at least two neighbors somewhat close, I think it will be wise to go for BW once we have mysticism, so we can get Copper ASAP. I think we can delay going for Runes. If someone else founds it, we lose out on a mediocre shrine, which is unfortunate but not very important.

That sounds good to me.

Tech path Mining(Need mines!) -> Mysticism(Elder Councils...I'm thinking going God King too?) -> BW -> Runes of Kilmorph.

Think it might be a good idea to detour to Exploration after Runes to quickly hook up our cities for defense?

Also, if my Adept gains enough EXP for the next level, would it be a good idea to wait for it to upgrade for Level II spells?

Not much going on, but Turn 28 gave us a nice event.

I had to choose between +1 food and +1 commerce. Because we had such a food heavy start and to kickjump research a little, I went with commerce.

Who wants to bet Ichabod's post was saying I should of gone food?

So, copper location...uh...might change some things around.

...Yep. On one hand, settling on unpillagable Copper is nice...but that'd be a 2/4/1 tile. I am somewhat loathe to settle on it.

Other copper sources...

Doesn't make B-2 worth it, but maybe if we get some culture in B-3...

And that's all, actually.

Still BW first, probs?

Yeah, I say go for God King and BW, it seems the right choice. Since we'd be playing for safety by going for BW, it only makes sense to add roads to the mix for ease of defense.

As for the copper at City A, I am unsure where we could settle instead. If we move the site, we use out on a potential megacity. We could, perhaps, move the city one SE and have it be a production city instead of a megacity, but we'd have to plant another city to use the gems, and we'd lose out on the health bonus from being on the river. If we instead moved city A one NW, we'd have room for a relatively good city 3E1N of city A, once the jungle gets cleared.

IN the end though, I think it makes most sense to found as planned, even though losing out on the hammers is painful. One megacity in the close future is better than two decent cities in the longer run, and since this game is only a small step up on Always War, the extra security from having unpillagable copper is a worthy prize.

Desert copper isn't particularly attractive, so it shouldn't affect the placement of city B. Especially if we found on city A as planned, the copper to our west is mostly superfluous.
