[SPOILERS] Novice and SevenSpirits play Suleiman of Korea

SevenSpirits Wrote:One extra comment: I don't think sharing the corn with the second city is particularly strong. We still want to grow grow grow whip Attach Mimes, and until we have a granary it can use every drop of food/hammers we manage to give it.

Still, a city SE of the copper looks tempting.

5 workers, a settler, 6 warriors, a scout boat and 4 size 3 cities.

I also have the autosaves if we decide this one's a keeper.

Beats the last one for sure. Here's lighthouse made of horses. (And 6 forests.)

City sizes 5, 2, 3, 2. Pottery due this turn, 41. 2 pop in capital about to be converted to a settler. 5 workers and a WB ready for the horse city. (It was whipped to speed the GLH a turn.) 8 warriors, 9 capital hammers in a barracks. Chariots will be buildable next turn.

An advantage of settling the horses first is it does in fact give a trade route. (At least with fishing; didn't try without.) The river plus lake all in culture is enough.

Better and better. Is that map info in the [strike]southwest[/strike] southeast accurate, or a guess? I don't think you've shown scouting screenshots from the latest turn.

I only posted one shot but it does technically have all the revealed land in it. The plains forest hill is visible; the plains forest next to it is not yet revealed (so could theoretically have a resource) but is obvious from the tile bleed.

It's possible there's more seafood down there. That's why I moved the warrior southward (SE) without fully revealing the more northerly bit of coastline - we want to get onto the southern tip before making the final settler decision.

Problem located: I got two forest growths in my run. frown

Hm, yeah, I don't know how I missed that. Must have been blinded by the copper.

I knew you had to be cheating. wink

Regardless it looks like we can land the GLH in the early forties and still have decent expansion. Seems like a plan to me - let's see if we can beat Mackoti this time. He built 'henge but is IND/ORG, so it could be close.

Late pottery doesn't hurt that badly I suppose when the granaries are 40 hammers anyway, and we'll get a commerce boost from GLH.

Yeah, the absolute most that could delay it is 3t (10hpt x3 > 26h) plus we'll have more worker turns available. (Plus I probably didn't optimize it that well.)

Btw I just noticed those extra forests were already in the latest sandbox you posted.

Some really nice land there.

Mackoti got a tech with no power. Probably fishing, or maybe he got fishing previously and now pottery. Otherwise I'm lost. Lewwyn grew to size 3.
