Fine, get their graphs, but overall focus on our neighbours: Dazed and Ceil. Move our eastern warrior 1E and then 1SE, Ceil can't see our dude right now and if we can get vision over that city, it would be great.
And huh, that's a pretty big power jump from Ceil. Probably axes, we'll find out after those warrior moves. As long as we keep our sentries alive, we'll be able to whip out defenders. Maybe keep one 'lanx in our border cities as a stand by, but that can wait until our next settler appears.
Don't even think about Pink dotting Dazed.
And again, don't even think of Iron Working until we've started settling up to the jungle.
Finally, stop worrying about roads to the pasture food, just get them improved asap.

OK, OK ... sheesh
Turn 39 - 1660BC
DF moved onto the Cows & started Pasture; SC heading towards the Furs to Camp them; MA reached Sheep, will pasture next turn; AL will Cottage/Road any free space!
IanW now fortified. PeterN move 1NW & found Horse! Have dotted for Whitehorse Lane [Cows, Horse, Crabs - can get a WB up from Selhurst Park to these, as that's a fresh water lake up there!]
Also dotted for Holmesdale Road [Bananas, Silk & FPs] & Wooderson Close [Cows, Silk, dry Rice & Furs] . Ooh, VinceH found more wild boars!!
And a little look at the cities:
Crystal Palace:
Yes, I will 3-pop that Settler next turn - so, which city do we found next? Holmesdale? And what tiles to work here?
Selhurst Park:
What to build next? Phalanx? Or Barracks first?

So, no response ... again!
Turn 40 - 1600BC
So, I decided on Barracks first, then Phalanx, in Selhurst Park. AndyG went 1N & spotted Koopa over the one tile of water, PeterN may be on the same land-mass so will try to follow him. AndyG may be needed back south as VinceH has got onto that Hill & discovered ... well ... see the pic:
3-pop whipped the Settler, the city chose to work Deer, Rice & Fish ... fine, slow build the Phalanx then.
Will settle Wooderson Close as this will close off the border, and will also give VinceH somewhere to run too, so AL Road it now ... go, go, go!!!
Writing completed @EOT, any gain in score was negated by the whip. Maths will take 12 turns @ -1Gpt.

Dude I just woke up.
Interesting, considering Ceil has a handful of axes, I'm expecting an aggressive settlement towards us. We'll need 2 axes of our own if we were to hold a city in the northeast. It's not too late, go Phalanx instead of Barracks. As I said before, right now warm bodies are more valuable than promotions. Hell, even Ceil isn't bothering with Barracks (a good choice).
Hence, next settler goes to the northwest, to settle the floodplains. No need to heavily garrison that, are barbarians on? I've been thinking of moving the floodplains city 2W, to use up a useless desert. Farm the bananas, and start cottaging those floodplains.

Really? I thought you were in, and from, Eastern Europe. Hang on, if you are; are you a vampyre?

OK, only put 1 turn's hammers into it and can finish it later if needed.
Really? The FP site for Holmesdale Road? But your spot would leave a Silk hanging. Yes, it takes out a Desert tile, but see T-hawk's argument about the peaks in Selhurst Park's BFC; it's not as if you're going to let me get any city to, and keep it beyond, size 18, is it?
Also, in light of the recent departure of Commodore, should I not secure the border with Celiazul first? I have the turn and, unless there's a need to play more than once to day, I have time before I have to play, si i await your thoughts on this dilemma.

Well, if we want to secure the border, then we'll need military. Since we have a settler hanging around, if we want to make him useful, the he goes to the floodplains.
Forward me the save so I can work out a better dotmap.

I have already opened it, our probing warrior is dead [should've spotted that road, reloaded turn & moved him onto the pigs]
the settler could take the warrior from the capital & another could be there in 5 turns if those axe are coming around the mountains
Well we only spotted the road *after* we moved onto the hill, so no, don't even think about reloading. Zero surprises about losing the warrior. His sacrifice will not be in vain. Pushing out sentries is always valuable.
And of course I'd love to secure a border against Ceil, but how on earth do you expect to hold it against 2 axes? We'll need a minimum of 2 'lanxes right now in Wooderson Close. Hence, floodplains first.
I like Holmesdale 2W as not only does it spare a riverside grass, but it can share the grass cows with Selhurst. Not to mention we can pick up the silks with a filler city between Wooderson and Holmsdale. Why, it's not like we'll be using the silks for a long time.
Why are we camping the furs? Do we need the commerce or extra happiness? NO! As I said before, food first.
Finally, I see a Dazed worker trying to build a mine. If you want to antagonise him, move our southern sentry (Ian) 1SE to force Dazed to cover the worker. If you want peaceful relations, then don't.
Actually, it would be good to patrol Ian between his current tile and the desert hill to the SW every turn, just to maximise the tiles unfogged.

And I'm not sure what's going on with Commodore, but I suspect the flaw with the map is that we are indeed to close, and the copper is too far. It takes only 1 person getting their copper choked off, and another person bring up metal units, before it's game. They of course could always stuff their capital with archers, but do so is ceding control of the field and resigning yourself to irrelevancy.

Umm ... could you remove the 'password' from your quote?!? I know it's our thread, but that is highly confidential info
The game may be called anyway, but I'll play as directed & send on to Kyan. If it is called & I'm 4th just by dint of timing I'm NOT going to be happy
Regarding the Furs, why not? I have workers on the Cows & Sheep ... besides, the city will grow onto that tile next.
