WHY IS THIS GAME SO FAST!

T38: settle and move warrior forward. Worker roads. Whip the worker.

T39: overflow into warrior. However work the grassforest instead of the PHmine because we get 27H overflow. the new worker moves 1S and roads. Other worker completes current road and warrior explores towards the gold.

Looking at that picture now, it's quite unbelievable that I missed the problems down there. They're quite obvious in retrospect.
Glad to know that you're still in the game with settler death being another trolling, though I'm stilling treating your turn reports with skepticism for... about 10 more turns or so? nono

I looked at that picture and it seemed awfully obvious to me, but I thought about it, and I can't remember the last time I've closely examined the mini-map while reading a turn report. I figured as long as it didn't jump out as obvious to a very casual glance it would be fine. I definitely wasn't going to do any true editing - all I really did was copy/paste using paint and move things around a little bit.

But yes, no more false reporting. But I won't be offended if there's some skepticism for a little while. lol

Nice troll! Though I have to admit I don't understand how the tech choice was part of it.

So now that we know what you really did, what's up with finishing the WB with food in the box? That can't be ideal.

We had grand plans to say we were pushing for Bronze Working over Hunting despite having a pigs since we were fake-opening with warrior-wb-settler: completely ignoring worker. Problem was we realized actually completing Bronze Working would reveal the troll because we had no idea where copper actually was. Also seemingly shooting from the hip in tech choices seemed like something an incompetent player would do, so when in doubt we reported ourselves doing nonsensical things. Switching techs around also screwed with C&D. I kinda figured it would add credibility to the ruse if someone keeping track of our techs couldn't figure out why we hadn't completed a tech for so long.

Lewwyn tested it out and insisted working food at the start came out about even in terms of foodhammers and netted more commerce, and I decided not to question it. No idea if that was correct or not. The main thing that made WB-first kind of lousy was the lack of a 3h tile or 2h plant, but worker-first was definitely a bit weaker than wb-first, so there wasn't an obviously good option to go with.

Not saying you shouldn't work food from the start, rather you shouldn't produce more than 22.

7t of working fish, 1t of working PF is 10h and growth. From there you can finish the boat in four turns. It looks like you traded 1t later WB completion for something like 5f 4c which is not a good deal, since you can make e.g. 6f 1h 4c once the fish is netted and you also don't have to waste it into a food bar that you're not going to use for a while.

Oh hah, yeah you're totally right smoke. Don't know why neither of us caught that.

while you are correct that it delays thw wb one turn, the extra food in the box allows us to grow to size 3 a turn earlier. this means that either way resulted in us reachong size 3 the same turn which we immiediately started the worker. the trade off was more commerce bought for a bit of hammers. considering how long teching was taking that was a definite bonus. so yes i was fully aware the wb was completing a turn later. finishing a wb with food in the box is certainly less ideal if you havent banked on that food in the future.

i actually struggled with the decision a bit before making the final call.

btw seven i dont blame your reaction to the wb. i logged into the game midway through saw the 4 food and immiediately paniced because i'd fcorgotten how it simmed out. its against conventional wisdom but because we were growing to 3 immiediately it worked.
