[SPOILERS] Novice starts improvising

So I don't quite know what to do next. I'm tempted to double-chop and single whip a settler in my capital and settle NW of the pigs. A religion there would be a bonus but not something I can count on. This seems like one of those moves that keeps bringing my games to early setbacks, though. Maybe settling 1S of silver is more sane.

I don't know if my thoughts are any saner but I was thinking you could settle the cows/rice in the northeast and then the rice/rice/wheat/sheep/silver site.
If you know what I mean.

But that site has four peak tiles!

If you want to go NW of Pigs tech Archery and when settling you should have Archer following pretty soon and probably couple of warriors initially. You can manage silver/rice with warriors only a bit longer.

Okay I went with Zak's suggested location for the next city (although it's still possible to change my mind, the workers are positioned with that city in mind).

That location is unlikely to get me attacked and brings in another two food resources as well as the forest mine which will help Lambert build Stonehenge.

Not totally against that city placement, since that might make a difference concerning Stonehenge. However the Rice-Silver city would be better spot than that, and also better place to jump towards the NW of pigs city.

Played turn 40-41. On t40, Krill settled his third city 1SE of the eastern elephants in this screenshot.

I think claiming the pigs will be tricky.

Also, Krill founded Buddhism in his second city, so I'm teching polytheism.

I'm new to this civstats thing, but it looks to me like Krill razed one of Commodore's cities?

Yeah for razing the city. Commodore lost 1 pop point.
