Looking to get back into EITB, and just missed the start of 42, so I'd be happy to help out playing turns if someone would like a partner.
My preferred play time is 20:00- 24:00, EST.

Northstar has pmed me indicating that he is withdrawing from the tournament. I would like you to finish up his current games to the best of your ability and then start your round robin II games when your opponents are ready.
Northstar1989, please pm jalepeno your current game saves And passwords.

I'm not sure that's fair to Jalepeno. North left his various games in some pretty bad positions.
I'm okay with just starting a game from scratch with Jalepeno- my suggestion is to write off all of North's current games as concessions, but stick them in the "extra games" category (or whatever it's called), so that they don't count for ranking.

My game against Northstar was only at T30. I think I'd rather start a fresh game against Jalepeno rather than make him live with Northstar's choices. It is unlikely to affect whether we can finish by August, but it should be more fun for him to have control from T0, and his favorite civ, and etc.
Well, that is, unless Jalepeno would rather have Northstar's position.

I'm also fine with starting a new game against Jalepeno. Maybe easier that way. My game with Northstar was only at T8 anyway... If Jale wants to continue the game from T8, I have no trouble with that either, we can do it if you like it better.
I'm sure it won't affect the time needed to end the games much if Jale is able to play at normal speed (roughly 1t/day).

If Northstar's former opponents are willing to restart for for Jalepeno that is very commendable. I am ok with that. We just have to commit to 1 turn per day. Based on jalepeno's comments he seems to advocate pyft
This of course means that the picks are reset. Give me some time until tonight for me to clean up and update the tables.

Ok, cool. I'll just wait for Jalepeno to confirm that he's up for taking over entirely, 'help out playing turns' isn't quite as much of a commitment as that. Once he confirms, I'll send him a settings proposal by PM and we can work it out from there.

wow, things sure move fast. Let's get this show on the road. I guess I'd better go read the rules and figure out what exactly I've signed up for. (as long as noone picks centaurs against me, I'll be fine...right?)
Mardoc, I look forward to seeing your settings proposal.

Hi all,
Except for the tie breaker and finals matches, duplicate civs within the same game are disallowed. I'd like to propose that if both players mutually agree , before picks are made , to have duplicate picks, that this would be allowed.
Some quick feedback would be appreciated.
