For the most part I thought the map was great. I wish it had more hills though. For a lot of the game I really wished I could build some kind of big production center but couldn't because all I had was flatland and coast.

The lack of hills also favoured the defender; once the border cities had fallen, both you & pickle had to march stacks over multi-tile flatland to get any further and that gave me time to shift troops, focus collateral, and get the tactical advantage.

FWIW, if round 2 does get going I'm happy to take Sian's place. We'd probably need to start soon though, otherwise we're all going to get distracted by Civ VI...

I'd be up for round 2, perhaps just with whoever's still around. We'd need a mapmaker, though.

Well done everybody. There were probably less hills than there should have been with hindsight, although there was a lot of mineable resource tiles and horses to make up for that! Glad you all enjoyed the map.
