Before reading spoilers my thoughts were swing -> apple -> bell, but I was only focusing on the 'items that typically hang from things' definition and not the 'violent punishment' one.

Having read spoilers I now like Thief, Bell (Piano connection), Apple, then Revolution/Belt. I don't love Belt because it's not used for 'official' hangings and it doesn't really hang by itself, so it's really a connection only to suicide via hanging.

That said by consensus I think we'd go Thief -> Belt -> Apple -> Revolution, provided Swing is even ours of course.

You can stack BLOCKs...
... and make a TOWER.
You can have a stack of dollar BILLs.
A stack of cards make a DECK.
You can stack bales of COTTON.
AMAZON was originally a book seller. Books can be stacked (and books can be pulled from the stacks in a library).
Those cool APPLE pyramids in the grocery store are done by stacking them.

Blocks are the most common thing that you say you stack plus the sayings stack the Deck and a stack of Bills.

Deck, for certain- "Stack the deck" is a common expression.

Then Tower, you can stack stuff to make one.

Not sure for the last one, I guess you can stack Blocks. Is "cold stack" a thing?

BILL maybe? You can have a stack of bills. Likewise you can stack a DECK. 3rd one I like is probably BLOCK, although I'm happy to switch it to almost anything else within reason.

Let's see what everyone else says.

OK so we have:

Point to DECK
Point to BLOCK

Last one is TOWER vs BILL. I like BILL more between the two of them but not strongly. Bob did you see BILL? David, did you see TOWER?
