Oops forgot that since I founded Bambi before DotF, I wont get the fail gold until next turn. I guess this is one of the mod's changes that it actually doesnt show the GW?
Also I whipped the HA in Discount card prematurely because I wanted this ready for the push, but it went unhappy because Gov't plaza was at size 6 so it got the rep bonus. Oops again. I thought hard about whipping something in GPlaza but decided against it. The cities will not be unhappy if I only whip them when the whip counter runs out. Oh well lesson learned.

Moved stack on the plain hill that is mining. City settled next turn with full stack in it.

Maybe I shouldn't be playing turns so early in the morning? Misclicked and moved both stacks not on the roaded tile but to the E of the planned city! A huge disaster. I did move 1 HA into the city itself but DZ could raze it if he had the 2 movers and workers in position. At least the 2 lagger catapults can join the main army. Fully expect a HA to kill my chariot, then he will see the trouble he is in and mass whip again. His power hasnt moved much. He did settle 1 city for the wheat but it wasn't on the plain hill?! Forgot to take demo shot. Also got tired of getting ripped off from SD so cancelled OB and reoffered at what I thought was 4g from him.

i been really disheartened to show pics but my attack did nothing. I got lucky with 3 withdraws otherwise it would be horrible. This did give Commodore a chance to attack. Not sure if I should now hunker down and tech to knights or try again...

I have to say that trade route implementation is frustrating in civ4 because I although I can trade resources, I have no idea why I am not getting any trades in city commerce. Is this something to do with the mod? I actually sent the overflow to a workboat in government plaza, not for the Moai, in hopes of finding some island city or a way to reach the Mali lands. Wonder why DZ haven't sent in his HA into the city to absorb collateral.

Well DZ put his mounted units in the city afterall and now had total 30 defenders. Eventhough the attack was likely to fail, I had to try it just to get rid of some of the upkeep. In the end, we both lost 9 units but I had a total hammer deficit of -45. It would be a lot worse if it weren't for the withdrawals. Only HAs had any good odds on defenders so now it is time to treat and hope DZ doesnt have more units in the fog. Now I am despairing because probably I shouldn't have tried for the MoM, and whip all my cities down to the ground like Gavagai is. Btw, not shown in the screenshots but the NE path was a dead end.

Start my shameful retreat but definitely pillaged the cottage that I plan to farm over. Noted that Commodore declared on DZ and razed a city. Thought it would be the rice+gold city the E of his cap but it wasn't? Did DZ instead plant a forward city in Commodore's face? Will start CoL when the troops are back in my borders.

No change in regards to trading was made in the mod, but we could think about it. Which trade routes are you missing and could it be that there are just more profitable routes with other players?

I really dont know about game mechanics to answer the question except since I can trade resources with SD, Gav, I figured I can get city trades with these players?

It sounds like he unfogged a route to you but you haven't unfogged a route in return. That means you can trade resources, etc, and he gets the income, but you don't.

Remember the Apolyton DG. If all of the routes you have unfogged go through the culture of someone you are at war with then you are SoL, but if the other party is at peace with the player in the middle they also get routes.

yeah this is because Commodore peace with DZ. Argh why didnt you stay at war for 1 more turn.
