Turn 150 C&D notes

WPC received only land score.

Nothing for the Spanish. Later on settled the city of Nodwengu, probably on the tile 1N of their deer. It's a decent city location, sure, and one they should have settled long ago, but now?!? shakehead

Apolyton researched Economics, received the bonus Great Merchant, and grew at least six cities. They had a score increase of 52, but circa 38 of that is accounted for. The 14 remaining is more pop and some land.

The Germans grew 4 cities (Weil der Stadt, Warendorf, Westheim, and Wombatshausen). Then they whipped (all 2-pop) the cities of Webringen, Worms, Wesselburen, Wasserburg, and Weil der Stadt. They have 71 total pop now, and still don't have Feudalism.

Their city of Fort Alamo (previously Wolfratshausen) completed a wall, so it's a somewhat harder nut to crack now.

CivFr likely grew 2 pop from the increase in rival best population, and also received land score. I think I can confirm them having built their National and Heroic Epics, and likely also Moai, otherwise they'd require far too much pop.

CivPlayers grew 2 visible cities and researched Alphabet. This showed they know the following techs:

* All ancient
* All classical except Construction and Compass
* Theology, Paper, Civil Service
* Education

They had a score increase of 22, of which circa 17 is accounted for, leaving the rest to pop and land.

CFC grew 5 pop, and likely has 122 total.

Univers gained 18 score, and grew at least 6 pop (worth 14 or 15 score). They are the rival best in raw pop, at least until CFC capture another Spanish city.

Power and build analysis will follow later.

Not much to say about the production of WPC - they continue to build units.

The Spanish finally started to whip, doing a 2-pop whip in Nongoma. I believe they've finished a catapult in Nobamba, but one can hardly believe they are at war…

Apolyton finished two banks, a market, and a forge. Still solid on infrastructure clearly.

The Germans finished five units and two walls (they have walls in Wasserburg, Wolfratshausen/Fort Alamo, and Warendorf). At least they seem ready to put up a fight. From the invested hammers it seems to be mainly ancient units, though I guess they built at least one catapult.

CivPlayers built a lighthouse in Atzcapotzalco.

CFC continue to build units. I think they built two more knights this turn, and probably a catapult. They should finish the Notre Dame in Terasvin at the end of turn.

CivPlayers are also pushing infrastructure. One market (in their capital), two forges, a lighthouse, and a Rathaus. I believe they whipped another Rathaus in Filifurm this turn as well.

I logged in after WPC moved into German lands, and WPC's war weariness is up to 8, and rival global power is down with 16000.

I think WPC has lost two chariots, and the Germans lost a quechua and an axe, but that's mainly a guess. In any case there has been 2 victories and 2 losses for WPC.

CFC attacked the Spanish again, and took two cities. One of them, probably Ondini, was auto-razed (size 1, founded T147). The other I'm quite unsure about. From CFC's score increase, they should now hold a size 4 city, but all the Spanish cities are either smaller or larger than size 5 (size 7, 9, and 2 according to my notes).

From geography, I judge Ulmgungundlova was the most likely city for CFC to take.

Heh. From APTmod's espionage view, CFC now has a city named "No existe".

Anyway, logged in, and it seems CFC launched a naval assault. We should step up our plans to settle the silver islands.

Rival best in power fell with 10k, so I think CFC lost a knight. Hard to assess the losses of the Spanish, but they are now the rival worst in power according to the APTmod graph. Sadly, I missed to note down the war weariness number for CFC.

This war of CFC's must have required a fair bit of planning. To get galleys around there to launch units at that city took at least 5 turns. We should remember that they are capable civ4 players.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

We will need to fit Optics in at some point, both for whales and for naval defense.

Nope, took twice as long. I count ten turns via sea from Abhi to Nongoma, unless they built a fort 1E of Abhi (in which case it would take them nine turns). Which makes your point even stronger.
