No real update in turn 56. ruff/civac founded their 5th city. jowy did 3 1 pop whips, which makes me think he's having problems. Or maybe he's whipping monuments? Doesn't really matter.
Lewynn/NH didn't flip the turn, so I assume he's at war, with one of SD, civac or Jowy, since those are the people who played before he logged in. Or maybe he's a dick who doesn't like to flip turns, I dunno.
Some micro stuff
I get a spear in Drive next turn. That will move to the yellow dot, 1N of the scout, where the city will go Two workers roaded toward that tile. next turn, each goes to a hill. They road those tiles.
Settle pops out in 2 turns, move to NW of the copper. Next turn, it moves and founds, starts building a monument using the forested PH. The worker on the gem mines the gem, the one that roaded the hill moves and chops. When the gem hill is mined, work the hill.
barb suicides against teh city. There are 2 warriors there, so it should be safe.

Well, this is a kick in the pants
Ruff is up to 6 cities and is at the 1/2 point between us. I need to get out that way. That said, I'll start placing cities out that way soon.
it's an aggressive plant, taking land that is mine. I might have to kill it with a chariot. We'll see.

Well, that means my next plants are up there, of course.
I have 2 settlers coming out in the next few turns - one from HitchARide, one from Drive. That's in addtion to the one going by the gems, of course.
As a plant, it seems dangerous - quite a ways from the rest of his civ. I'm not really in a position to take it, but he doesn't really know that. Maybe he has archers already, I dunno.

Well, this is a conundrum.
The city is empty. This is just foolish - even if I don't take it, a barb might.
here's my problem - I actually double-moved Ruff (he went before me last turn and I went before him this turn). In this case, turn order matters and me going first is important. he can't build a unit there in time, so he needs to move one in.
If there isn't a unit there next turn, I'll move in.
I don't know if my double move matters - it was not intentional (well, it was, but I assumed he had a warrior in the city and so it wouldn't matter). I'm willing to wait to the 2nd half of the turn if lurkers thinks that's what I should do - I am not looking to get an unfair advantage here. And it may not matter - he may put a warrior in there this turn.
More info later.

Some other things happened on turn 59:
Founded RadarLove, which is a great song by the Dutch band Golden Earring, who were pretty huge in the netherlands, but only had a few hits in america. I don't really know what it means for his hands to wet on the wheel (he's sweating?), but who cares? RadarLove is going to be a huge city for me - gems, riverside cottages. Not a ton of food, but I suspect it might out commerce the capitol.
Gavagai has put a War chariot to cover his worker. It can also strike 2 cities in a couple of turns, so I'm paying attention to that. RadarLove has a spear, so is fine. Truckin' has a warrior and a scout, will get another scout if necessary, has a 2nd warrior in the area, and should be able to whip a spear soon... plus there's the spear from RadarLove... so I'm not really worried.
Commodore knows Ruff. So, I'm now thinking that there are 2 continents and 4 civs on each, in a box pattern and Commodore is east of Gavagai.

Also, Ruff founded ANOTHER city (up to 7) and jowy founded. Does Ruff know that you should build some units to protect cities?

Ah, Golden Earring's Moontan album, one of my favorites as a youngster. I can hardly listen to Radar Love after it was played to death on the radio, but he rest of the album still holds up very well.

Ruff put an axe in his foreward city, so I moved away warrior on axe is a bad bet
Moved to look at his other nearby city, which is ALSO empty. I presume a warrior will show up there.
whipped my settler in Drive - that will go to the horse city. settler in the cap will go the sheep/hills city beyond the horse. I'll need some support out there soon.

I am impressed with civac/ruff. They have managed to plop down 2 more cities than me AND have at least 1 axe more than I have - i'm guessing more, since I can't imagine they just have warriors on the other side. I mean, I have no infra, so he seems to have built 100-130 hammers more than I have.

Turn 61
I haven't been updating on what I'm doing.
The red circles are settlers (well, the one in the cap finishes this turn). Those will go to the purple spot (sharing wheat) and the green spot I just cleared (for horse). I don't have enough support to put a city out where an axe or spear can just kill it yet. The next settler will go there
Workers shown will
A) move to horse and pasture, then road
B) finish the road, then move to horse and pasture
C) chop for the next settler
DriveMyCar is growing on an archer - I'll switch that to a granary next turn, then whip the granary at size 4. It's not the best, but it's a high food area and I need to take advantage of that and do some whipping
Drive has 15 hammer overflow, which goes into a granary. Then I'll build the granary for 4 turns, while it gets to size 3. Then whip the granary. it grows to size 3 in 2 turns - I might be able to whip the granary in 3, we'll see. I'll have to make an archer there, too, for RadarLove. pro archers are awesome.
Truckin' is currently working on a granary, with the spear being whippable.
RadarLove is working the gems for a monument. I'll chop some - I want that city up and running soon.
In foreign affairs:
Gavagai did not play when the turn flipped. he seems to have been building power (war chariots?) He withdrew his covering war chariot. He played after commodore. he MIGHT be planning on attacking commodore. Or me, I suppose.
Gavagai has writing, too, and OB with ruff/civac. Civac seems to be the turn player there, btw.
I am debating putting a city at the blue diamond there, though that only happens after I have masonry and can put walls up very fast.
Big island over there. Seems to have a paucity of food, which is interesting. Incense is big for me, though.
GNP is strong, considering I'm researching sailing. That's the gems, of course.
Maybe HBR is a thing I should research. Of course, everyone can see when I've got it. Should probably wait for another 5-10 cities.
