He was able to whip out a spear sadly. Took the 10% shot and severely injured. Chariot killed warrior and then a chariot mopped up. Now what I should have done was sacrifice a chariot to pillage the jungle rd after I had moved the rest through saving net 1 chariot, the winning chariot was 3/4 and would have had promo and could have joined. I sadly saw this line right after I moved all 4 into his territory and was debating about which chariots to delete. Pin recommended just the 1 on the hill, so I did. Speaking of which, what an INSANE spot for someone who is creative. Got 88 gold and turned on tech this turn. Moving any and all units up. that can hit in a timely manner. I can technically get all of them attacking the mids city in three turns with total of 7 chariots and 2 skirms (1 injured). Also gg is headed that way. I swear I didn't take a bad promo on one of those skirms......, I still get that instinct to promo when not needed for some reason.

In the south he had taken a 68% shot at skirm on the grassland and lost!!!! Then he decided to finish it with an axe??? I don't remember exact health but it was super low, so I'm super confused. Anyways that left 2 spears and a chariot on the jungle threatening my rice this turn. I took the shot across the river with my axes. Won the first 68%, lost the next 50%, lost a 68% to chariot............. but luckily it actually didn't take a ton of damage and was still top defender so skirm could finish it off.

Anyways, even if I don't get another Nauf city it seems likely that Nauf managed to go from a favorite to crippled. Mind you him along with Van torpedoed my game, but heh I'm having some fun here at least. Still have no clue why we are playing, but fun is being had while the clock runs off.

Oh asked SD to declare vs Nauf. Figure he can go grab Bing capital. Sadly with losing those axes I probably won't have enough for an expeditionary force. Also, asked for peace treaty with Van. He takes the sheep next turn which he could then actually improve, but would also give me leave to throw everything at Nauf.

Vanrober gave peace!

Sadly Nauf appears to have spears. The GG he got went into a formation spear and formation warrior in his cpaital. My chariots will therefore concentrate to attack The Pit. It has more units, but only 1 spear and I'll use the GG to pump some of those chariots up. In the south Nauf put both his remaining units in the jungle. I could have walked past, but would have been hard to dislodge later and I just don't think those axes could have gotten anywhere fast enough anyways, so took my swings and won both (although one badly injured). Since Vanrober gave peace I have sent all 4 non injured units up from Oak just in case I can do anything after my attack on The Pit. His remaining 2 units will have time to retreat and fortify and I have to imagine he can just whip out a nice little chariot army of his own if he wants.

Also, since Vanrober gave peace I have plans for 2 more workers. I'm a little short on tile improvements as noted and I also want to chop some more border forests. Now I did extend open borders to Vanrober. I think it benefits me right now if I can capture The Pit to develop a bit and settle the island and resettle the uber copper spot of Nauf. I also may use the remaining forests at Oak to chop out Stonehenge if I do take The Pit and get access to stone. I'm honestly not sure why T/C haven't built this yet........... (watch as it falls next turn)

Smoke rises from the lands of Naufrager. The hour grows late when Mjmd the Conqueror asks for open borders from Vanrober once again. The world has one last chance. Vanrober has but to reach out and accept it and the Spanish can still be defeated. Will Vanrober abandon reason for madness again or join together for one last ray of hope?

Now that you hopefully read that in a LOTR inner voice, here is an Irish song from PB59, because music and long report?

Honestly I'm probably a fool for offering open borders from Vanrober. Even if we took down T/C together I can be back stabbed in a million places with ease (again why that is such an intrusive can't let it stand spot). But something about minimal casualties this turn makes me an optimist. Also, letting T/C win a game just because they rushed a green while everyone else decided to antagonize me doesn't sit with me the best. Vanrober are you at least going to make them earn it?!?! I'm willing to try this horrible horrible aweful stinky border now that it looks like I get to roll over Nauf. But mind you, we could have done that together without the awkwardness....... and more efficiently, speed, and with greater gains on your end. Oh right the current turn:

Started in the north. 2 shock chariots died against the 1 spear, but honestly that was the min I expected. Everything else I won or withdrew (i have a nice guerilla III skirm btw); I probably should have lost 1 more somewhere this turn. Down south Nauf had parked one chariot on the hill east of copper last turn. This turn a second chariot joined it. Even if I take The Pit my units up there will need some time to heal, so decided to take the shot and kill both chariots. I discovered a large % of the remaining metal units 2axe and 1 spear coming up. Is he just abandoning it to SD? I keep expecting SD to hop in, but hasn't yet, I wonder if he is about to. In any case they are blocked off now.

In some ways its lucky I didn't A) lose more but also B) got more withdraws. It gives me options. I literally do think this game hinges on Vanrober. He has denied open borders once already, but my next decisions all rest on him accepting or rejecting.

Vanrober accepts:
-Overflow into some scouts
-Take the pit.
-Probably move everything up to take Nauf capital. Additional 2 axes can join the 4 units and those 6 and healed units from the Pit can probably get the job done.
-Grow, cottage, and expand
-Resettle the copper city (don't build galley)
-Chop out Stonehenge (maybe aggravates Vanrober but listen, if I can live with Van being within 1 tile of my entire core he can lose a sheep)

Vanrober rejects:
-BURN THE WORLD, BURN IT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!
-Raze The Pit. (I would border Vanrober twice over and can't defend all the flanks plus against remaining Nauf)
-Withdraw all units.
-Prepare for another bloodbath with Vanrober
-Settle the island so I can't die / trade can't be cut
-Road to Tarkeel (I got open borders, but pretty sure current trade is flowing through Vanrober)
-Request a gold along with a separate request to go to war with Vanrober. I can't imagine T/C not being thrilled Vanrober and I are fighting, so hopefully get.

Vanrober has to be the only one that hasn't conceded. So I would think he would want peace.  If not I guess I can start whipping and chopping again and keep wondering why this game is continuing. Just for the record IF IF IF Vanrober opens borders I will withdraw my concession.

Say whatever about the rest of this game, I am really impressed with your resilience and (presumably) outliving naufrager here. Kudos on keeping up the fight.

Appreciated. To be fair I've had help vs Nauf in the form of SD and I think a lack of happy on his end. Not that he couldn't have whipped his size 6 capital some before I was at his gate.

Vanrober chose the path of pain and did not open borders. That means Nauf gets to live sadly. I'm pulling troops back. Razed The Pit. Nauf got 1 full health chariot in there along with the injured axe, which was a BIG issues, because all my stuff was super low. Luckily got an 18% win with a medium health skirmisher........... Poor poor Nauf. Our luck was pretty even until the last 2 turns (I would even argue I've been on the losing end a bit but I've just had more stuff).

I'm assuming lurkers asked around, but who the hell hasn't conceded? Vanrober obviously has or he would open borders right RIGHT!?!?! No one else but me and him are in contention and Vanrober is choosing us fighting each other instead of T/C. Guess they get the win. Not saying they haven't played a good game, but it feels like it might have been possible to stop at multiple points if Vanrober wasn't mad that he can't figure out what a stable border looks like. And mind you I was even able to overlook that if he would have just given open borders!!!!

Ditto what Pin said, I'm scribbling notes feverishly. Right now they read: forward settle or wonder, pick one lol

Ya again you can only do 2/3 of expand, build military, or build wonders. You just don't actually have enough production for all 3. You can expand in a provocative manner and it might be the correct thing to do, but if you do you should probably build military........

Nauf reoffered peace. Nice of him not to take it last turn, gives me an extra. I realize he is just doing to get his copper back up, but I have 5 turns until I'm in a hot war, so I'll take the breather.

I honestly probably shouldn't be settling the island, its a lot of production not going to units, but listen shhhhhh. I probably won't report unless something weird happens until T90.

I wasn't going to report, but this is too funny.

I'm not the only one who wasted production into a settler before this war (except mine was 60h vs his 100h; edit: I also had to build 60h galley), but he is also putting a descent chunk of units to no purpose over there. I guess in what 20 turns he will take my silk????? I'm very confused. I'm very curious if there is actually food over there. Also, note the 3 workers chopping but he still hasn't improved the sheep lol . I realized I shouldn't have sent the worker to chop the forest near him as I can't get the forest nearest my city and finish that one. So both will move up next turn (it has one chop in it from WAY back).

Heh at least him and I combined will be above T/C in cities before we go to war each other rolf

Power graph is mainly for satisfaction of seeing Nauf fall off a cliff as well as note how we will actually be kind of even thanks to him placing that city.
