(Spoilers) Superdeath's Mystery Gambit

I think ive moved enough extra units PLUS my catapults to be able to withstand his 8 cats. It will hurt, but the crackback should eliminate him.

Once ive conquered Gavagai, going to either A: Shift and smash into either Ginger or Amica depending on who is winning their war better/looks more likely to close out the game. While Ginger's chances have been well, smashed.. (hehehe) cannons and allllllll of those god damn hills make him a pain in the ass. Amica has a great econ and the most cities. Would be harder to defend cities i take, so would likely need to raze.

B: Turn on wealth if neighbors are friendly enough, grab techs on the way to rifles, followed by Cav's and then.... hope that the game has long been over by then.
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. [Image: noidea.gif] In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

Been slowly wearing away at Gavagai's stack, and he has no more than 5t left. Could have alot less depending on how willing he is to kamikaze.

Can anyone guess my master plan in this PB?

Congratulations on taking out gav.

Hoping that Amica loses a 2 vs. 1 with nauf and comm while you win a 1 vs. 1 with ginger?

Looking for more guesses (extra hint possibly in the spoiler) Ill reveal/show the plan in action in about 4-6turns depending.

The turns roll real quick if there is only one person left alive to play them. hammer.
Participated in: Pitboss 40 (lurked by Mr. Cairo), Pitboss 45 (lurked by Charriu and chumchu), Pitboss 63 (replaced Mr. Cairo), Pitboss 66Pitboss 69, Pitboss 74
Participating in: Pitboss 78 (lurked by GT), Pitboss 79 (lurking giraflorens), Pitboss 81 (lurking giraflorens)

Criticism welcome!

I do like your idea.

SPOILERS. If you want to wait for a GRAND REVEAL... dont click on the spoilers and just listen to the song at the bottom of the post.

Potential thing:

Basically, i WANT to throw my knight ball at Ginger's 2 cities here and once i get city visibility again (3-4t at current rate?) if he moves his main stack of knights and other stuff into Commodore territory, I could raze those 2 cities and retreat. However, that is something i want to do AFTER i do something else.

Now, this next part relies on Amica being unobservant of a galley in a border city which he shouldnt see unless he actively looks for it. Im sure he doesnt trust me, as he should. Being in the Game-winning position that he is.. if i were him and had ANY spare units/build queues i would have razed my eastern seaboard already. Im unable to really whip much more, and my econ is CRATERED TO OBLIVION. I "can" recover, but thats just wealth builds and nothing else for many many many turns. I would need everyone else to stay away from me for 50t, while they take HEAVY losses for me to win this. Now, Amica's victory isnt quite assured yet, because well... he WAS funneling resources to my enemies and that has to be punished. No sane Montezuma incarnate would let that slide.

Remember, you clicked the spoiler.

He very obviously has money to upgrade the archer. He will have a turn for a build queue to finish (without being changed because you bet your ASS i will be going 2nd in turn order) but he hopefully wont have something substantial finishing. My worst-case scenario is i move my galleys to the above tile mentioned and he has frigates/ect finishing. Its always possible.. but i HOPE this works.. Would be god damn funny to me. Raze TGLH/capital, possibly raze To The Blade and Jennifer. I REALLY wish i could raze Dreadsprings, but morale knight razing his capital wouldnt be a possibility, and i put the chance of that knight achieving victory and burning that capital higher than the guarantee.

Much easier/less likely to have an impact/makes me look like im doing something is to attack and raze Amica's city as noted.

Beware. You are about to read either an epic win or an epic fail in the making. The players are set. What will happen next turn? Find out here:

Alright, SO... If Commodore doesnt raze that city up there, and Ginger doesnt move more knights from his main stack that way, i can 100% raze it in 2t if i want.

I am however, moving Operation: Thats-My-Lighthouse up 1 turn. I have sent open borders to Ginger and he typically plays b4 Amicalola... so that might lure him into a more peaceful approach my way if i HAVE to attack him it will suck, and ill get the brunt of the backlash, but gotta have at least a semi-safe border if Amica can be slowed down so that i can actually try and tech.

I sent Amicalola a message that basically stated open borders, he stops trading with Ginger, and i go to war with Ginger. Now, THAT probably will be rejected.. However, my main concern is that maybe JUST maybe, he overlooks/doesnt think too hard about the galleys on my border with him. Given how much time he typically spends in-game.. i assume he will see them and have some sort of response. All im hoping is that he doesnt have any Frigates/other naval units finishing EOT this turn. If he doesnt, he has to rely on upgrading units/shifting knights north maybe? 3 Galleys worth of knights (5knights and the hero knight) to take on whatever pops outta DreadSprings + no doubt an upgraded archer->Musket.

I give my overall odds of success on this plan.. 50% chance. He has ALOT of build queues that could have a knight/frigate that could reinforce.

If i fail to burn his capital, i will officially concede incase im the last one or something and unless i retract it for other in-game reasons of course.

He got a knight into his capital. Upgraded his archer to a longbow in Dread, accepted my stop trading with ginger for war with ginger, then declared war on me.

AND THEN, my morale knight lost the 73%? odds fight vs his knight to have a SLIM chance of razing next turn. I razed one city, and captured one. I was hoping to capture the city just south of dread as previously mentioned but he had a several promo'd musket + a knight in there. Odds were less than 2% to beat the musket. Would rather have the extra knights up here to force more production/units north. Basically no chance to raze another city, and all of my coast is now perma-gone whenever.

Sigh. Would have felt good to do something this game. Seeing non-hilled green tiles is just jaw-dropping. Didnt know they existed! I Concede to Amicalola
