Aye. I've got two planned.

This pic is from last turn.Currently slow building a settler in the cap for the deer spot. The eastern plains hill has literally no food resources, but if I get a missionary for the city, I can use those two forests for a lighthouse and ziggurat and be profitable.

Anything further to the west I'm giving Gavagai first dibs on. I think Gav has too many troubles to add me to the list, but I can't risk it. I've got no extra bandwidth to consider problems beyond Amica.

Oh what bounteous riches!  angry

Not much happening this turn. Got Superdeath's graphs. He's not doing poorly. Very low crop yield, but that's because he stopped settling cities on the coast and (Superdeath if you ever read this) he builds way, way too many mines. But what do I know? For a while, my Mfg was below Commodore's.

I'm sure I don't know what you're talking about.  mischief

These are from the most recent turn (122). I had hoped to have a turn waiting for me in my inbox, but it was not to be. Pseudo-edit: Ah, now Gav is logged in and about to roll the turn but I've already spent too much time on the pics. Oh well.

GNP is predictable.

I've now started researching again, so next turn my GNP will probably be up to around its earlier peak. You can see that Gav and Comm are in trouble. Comm's got time to fix his situation. He's got Alphabet for brute force tech, and he already has Construction, which is really the only defensive tech you need for a long time. Gav has Pyramids, so presumably he does something interesting with that. Amica has ways to "hack" his GNP. He has 15 cities (PBSpy tells me he founded yet another one.  banghead ) and can simply build wealth. If he doesn't feel pressure, he can do a lot of teching this way. I'm currently the tech leader, but pretty much everybody can nip at my heels.

The Mfg:

Can you tell when my Golden Age was? The downside of working nothing but coast. I'm in the process of making two cities into production centers. As with everything this game, I need like 10 extra turns that no one seems willing to give me. I've just about built forges for those two cities and one even gets a 9 turn Moai! But I need that production yesterturn.

Crop has been the story of the game:

I'm chasing Amica but as you can tell from the previous graph, Amica has a much more well rounded empire and has a production capacity to go with his crop yield. Ginger and Gav are still in it. Basically, they just need to eat somebody. Commodore, I'm sure, is just happy to still be at the table given his horrible starting area. Superdeath, as you can see from the Mfg graph, is working plains mines over coastal tiles. I can't imagine this is correct.

And here's power:

Everybody's roughly equal, which is more or less painful for people with differently sized empires. Ginger recently completed the Stables quest and I'm on my way down to him to steal a look at what he chose. Amica recently lost my graphs, so I actually would expect his power to keep increasing even if he didn't have offensive plans, just due to the uncertainty.

I haven't been taking screenshots of the Culture or Espionage graphs. Don't think Culture matters and I'm the only one with Espionage increases.

And there you have it. The full, unvarnished truth. nod

This is just a fascinating game. The moment I think I can describe its current state, it shifts:

Amica just popped a golden age, and Amica and Gav's treaty just expired, so Amica is pulling troops back to Get to Heaven, basically ceding Fortune 500 (the city just visible in the South).

I have also lost Superdeath's graphs.  shakehead After he sent me a couple of silly offers for my spices, I offered to give him the spices if he stopped trading with Amica. After all, he can surely fill up his foreign routes without Amica, so this is basically an offer of a free luxury. Naturally, he refused. noidea And then started putting his full EP complement into me, just about the only player in this game who he doesn't border. noidea

Gonna be a tough war for Gav without collateral, but he's got a lot of highly promoted units. Terrain here as at my jungle pass is very favorable to Amica. Sure, he has to give up Fortune 500, but Get to Heaven locks down the main of the continent. On the other hand, if those Ivory and Gems tiles can be pillages, Amica's likely hurting.

On the other other hand, Amica in a golden age is very scary. Double the rival average Mfg. Top GNP. Easily top Crop. It would be very, very, very bad if Amica could buy Gav off at the cost of Fortune 500.

Ah, excuse me. The full line was "a tough war for Gav without collateral." And I have collateral...

Time to roll the dice. For me with collateral, it's still gonna be hella dicey. Amica can bring 11 units to that jungle pass (if he adds The Wheel's archer, the unit The Wheel just whipped, and the 2 Immortals in range). I think I have just 11 hitters. Ohdear If I can't crack the hill in 1 turn, Amica can reinforce The Wheel with his reserves around Get to Heaven in time, not to mention all the stuff he's been whipping. Man, that jungle hill pass has been a pain in my backside for like 75 turns. Boy oh boy do I want it neutralized. Gav has a chariot with my stack so he can watch. Coordination gets very complicated. I don't think Amica can defend from both of us, but he can certainly defend from us one at a time.

Although, maybe Amica can defend against both of us?

He can whip out Elephants and Catapults and has done a ton of whipping. I believe he's whipped away 14 pop in a golden age. I count that as a mini success in its own way. If I can take or burn The Wheel, I will consider this war a major success, but I'll try to stay in it as long as my presence can help Gav. I suspect that Get to Heaven is immune to us, but I bet Gav can nibble around the edges and isolate it. And who knows, I haven't really been paying attention to Gav's forces. Perhaps he does have enough to crack it head on.

Again, for me, this entire war is about The Wheel. If I can capture it (or more likely, raze and resettle), I don't have to fret about that jungle fortress and (not visible on this screen) I can bisect Amica's empire. Basically, Amicalola has a green peninsula that shoots off to the Northeast that becomes very vulnerable if I'm the one holding The Wheel. But this is all counting chickens before they hatch. First, we have to roll well enough to actually get through that damned green citadel.

In the wider world, feeling the loss of Gav's routes, Amica is now paying Commodore for open borders.

Know your worth, Superdeath! Twist the guy's arm for money and favors!

Edit: By the way, Immortals are proving very good for Amica. The ability to reposition 2 movers that take advantage of +75% terrain defense is reeeaaallly strong this game.
