I can never figure out how to do this anymore, and I'm always a bit scared to try too hard in a Pitboss. My understanding was shift + left click would make it possible, but that just generates a "Move To" context menu for me. I definitely used to be able to do this, but it's been awhile.

It does - you can so this even if they can't physically move to that location.

Settled another pair of cities last turn.
Don't worry, I didn't work the grassland forest . This should be a fairly strong border city that will finally encourage me to get Calendar.
This island was more than rich enough for two cities. This brings us to 17 cities. We'll definitely build 2 more that are backfill locations. There's a 20th spot NW of this city - the sort of dead zone by Superdeath. I'm debating skipping it. He's already warned me his border pop his coming in ~10 turns. It brings in no new resources, though of course it could be settled on the grass forest in order to use the crabs. It would be a weak city by the standards of this map and given the enormous costs I'm under feels like it would take ages to pay back, but it would be something eventually. More coastal build queues is good. I would have to get Civil Service farm spreads via Superdeath or something to make it viable. Anyway, I offered him the spot in return for 300g today. I have no idea if he would accept or even consider something similar, but I thought it couldn't hurt to ask.
Meanwhile this turn I had a dice roll. Chengdu already has Judaism, but surely I can hit a 90% dice roll, right? RIGHT?? It would be especially nice because I'm storing ~30h of overflow behind that wealth build in order to immediately 1T a Monastery should it spread successfully. That would be tragic irritating if I missed. I've definitely not missed any 90%+ dice rolls this game. Well, let's see.
In fact, Buddhism continues to be a heavy priority in the south. Whipping the Temple in Hangzhou was a little extreme and borderline, however Bing has pumped the culture in Awlil, and it's causing me to begin to bleed on cultural tile percentages. So getting these Buddhist buildings in has the dual benefit of some cultural pushback but also the +2h apiece from the AP. Also, in at most 11 turns - or likely a bit sooner...
I don't think I've ever built this wonder to be honest. I so rarely play with religion in RB games. I'm up to 7 Monasteries and 3 Temples for 20h per turn, which would instantly be 20b per turn. I think I can get those numbers doubled in the next dozen turns without too much strain.

Quick poll - do people prefer the use of the img tag like that or the screenshot tag like I'd been using previously - particularly for the resolution/size of images I'm using.

That random chance is eliminated in CtH: Spreading religions: Spreading never fails in your own cities. Corporations is unchanged though.

I prefer screenshot, but have been debating if img is better for images behind a spoiler tag.

I'm happy with the img tag, but screenshot is fine if it's easier.
UoS is typically not as favored as Spiral for the monk economy because coins are typically rarer than beakers, but in this expense environment I think it might be better.

Oh that’s slick. Knowing that would have saved some unnecessary concern as I've been somewhat prioritizing religion-free cities as a result. I guess it’s time to go back over the change log in detail and see if I’ve missed anything else.

Right. In this case I do eventually want both, but UoS happens to also be on the Astronomy path while Spiral is on a detour tech, so that was the real criteria here rather than beakers vs gold.
Since the img/screenshot preferences are split so far - I prefer img for sure because then I don’t have to click on every image, but I use fairly high res screens, so it doesn’t do anything weird to the layout. So I’m mostly just curious if the consensus preference had changed or not.

Realized I should clarify this as it’s not technically true. Paper is on the Galleon path in CtH as it’s now an additional requirement, and it’s on the Liberalism path which feels like the most realistic method for me to get Astronomy.

Actually, I think screenshot has more going for it on a larger resolution; it's easier to see the text before and after the image to get the continuity.

DivineRight is also a rather useless tech if not going for the Minaret, while everyone is going to pick up Paper at some point.

Yes - also that about Divine Right being an awkward tech. Nobody else is likely to race me to Spiral because it's a fairly rough tech to chew through at this stage of the game due to high cost and lack of pre-req bonuses. I'll get it eventually. If my Plan A looks likely to fail, that may well be my off-ramp. Sankore was largely prioritized here because I suspect others will be on Paper before too long too, so I'd rather not lose it to an Engineer or something.
Some extremely painful but hugely necessary whips coming up. Code of Laws comes in end of next turn (T119), and boy what I would give to be Organized right now. Because this is my short term rush Courthouse list with the current maintenance in parenthesis. Also yes, I do 80% of my planning in Notepad like a barbarian. Only exception is great people planning (and occasionally wonder planning) in a spreadsheet.
I'll save you the math - these will be worth like 43gpt. This is hardly an exhaustive Courthouse list either! This is literally just a list of cities that already have Granaries, Forges, higher than average maintenance, and don't have anything else more pressing happening. Many of these will be triple whips. Like I said, painful. But incredibly necessary. Overdue, even.
