Maniac Wrote:I've mostly been wondering why someone would vote for me if they really thought I was unkillable, and I wasn't telling a joke referencing the SMAC secret project.
There are two kinds of unkillabilities.
Unkillable by day.
Unkillably by night.
If I was unkillable by day, I wouldn't give a damn if people suddenly started voting for me after my joke.
If I was unkillable by night, villagers should rejoice, not vote on me. The only people who should be worried about a night-unkillability, would be the NAPs. It would mean the only way to kill me, would be by day, and they would be more likely to vote to lynch me.
This makes me suspicious the_stick might be NAP.
I thought you were saying you were completely unkillable. I doubted you were telling the truth and I took you seriously, so I thought you were lying. I interpreted you lying as a wolf tell instead of as a joke. Oops.

I don't see the problem here... just because a vote is in the early period where votes are flying fast and furious doesn't mean that vote means nothing. I guess that puts me in rather vehement disagreement with a lot of people now. ![lol lol](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/lol.gif)
The problem stems from that pindicator's vote was pretty obviously a joke vote, whereas Bob's and yours were considered to be serious. We thought that you basing your argument on a joke was wolfish.

Catwalk Wrote:I'm going to vote Molach on grounds of his low activity. He's done this succesfully as a wolf once before (or was it twice?). And his posts look suspicious too, quick accusation that he doesn't bother following up on and then a safe post stating that he has no name.
Hey.
Successfully once, unsuccessfully once.
My wolf MO - build trust early, later on in the game when it becomes difficult to talk about anything without giving away oneself or fellow wolf enter lurk mode. Lurking at start of game is kinda stupid for wolves - it's noticable and not needed as there is plenty to talk about.
We should look for 'blenders' rather than lurkers. Blending in by posting fluff and safe votes, not silence. Anyway.
I get villager vibes from waterbat - this post (to Jkaen)
waterbat Wrote:Its understandable you forgot. You probably only remember my last desperate pleas to get you to vote for wolf novice. No, no recollection there either?
I warned you guys I was still bitter.
comes across at 'not something a scum would do'. Both eager to hunt scum, and saying he's bitter while a scum would try to win hearts and minds.
thestick Wrote:Nothing's pinging suspicious to me yet except for Maniac's claim, so I'll vote for him. Unkillable seems WAY too powerful.
+ no vote for 6 posts
+ voting for waterbat for wrong (at least to me) reasons
So still a hunch, so keeping vote on thestick for now. Haven't had anything else leap out of the pages at me.

votes or withdraws have to be in red.
So "unvote" in red to withdraw your vote.

Tasunke that sounds a bit overcompensating to me:
"I have a name but I have to make sure everyone else thinks I don't so I'll complain hard that I don't have a name."

The inner conspiracy theorist is telling me that waterbat is faking being bitter so he can cast a lot of safe votes on lurkers. On the other hand, he could be serious.
Only other things popping out: Brick and Q seem a bit confused. A bunch of people (Injera, Tasunke, Mattimeo, Lewwyn) still haven't moved past the joke vote/roleplay stage. Noted, will wait for several more hours. Catwalk and slowcheetah (probably others I've missed) are currently in the 'hunt for lurkers' club, which is either a concern for lurker wolves or a safe vote that wolves who lurk can cast.
I think we need to be half-conscious of both lurkers and those who vote for them. Lurkers, since wolves could hide there. Those who vote for them, since that could be an easy wolf vote. Of course, villagers can lurk, and voting for lurkers might be to fish out lurker wolves.
Unvote waterbat, since his 'hit lurkers who haven't shown up in the first few hours' phase seems to be over. I can't really think of anyone to vote for.
