1) What degrees and diplomas do you have?
No degrees yet (unless you count my 20 different swimming "diplomas"), working (ever so slowly) towards a Bachelor degree in History
2) Is there anything of note you specialized in during your education?
Not writing word counts on essays as I'm always under the word limit. More seriously, Late Medieval/Early Modern Europe

Studying, or at least pretending to
4) Is there anything of note you specialize in at your job?
Not doing one?
5) Are there any past jobs you've done that are of interest?
Washing dishes in a restaurant kitchen, I can personally attest that all the ridiculous stuff you see on those cooking reality shows is... pretty much all true
6) What is your name, address, and credit card PIN?
Jasper van Heycop ten Ham (as the name implies my family is Dutch nobility ), Aalsmeer (small town near Amsterdam, though it does have the worlds biggest auction house for flowers, no really), The Netherlands

5) For a year I was general agent selling life insurance, which is interesting solely because of how much of an outlier it was (and how bad I was at it).

Heh, thanks, Lewwyn! That's pretty interesting. When you did your MFA, did you complete an academic or a creative thesis?

About 8 years ago now. I wrote a collection of short stories for my thesis. MFA is the terminal degree for creative writing so I always thought I'd go back and get Phd in Lit since I am just as interested in the academic side, but I haven't done it yet. Might not either as it hasn't been necessary nor do the benefits seem to outweigh the costs.

1) What degrees and diplomas do you have?
I got a BA on history and a BA in economics.
2) Is there anything of note you specialized in during your education?
No unfortunately. Really hurt me when I wanted to try for a PhD. I tended to focus on premodern history. In economics I had a preference for macro topics in development, labor, and finance systems. Not enough to really be a specialist though.
3) What is your current job and/or your career?
Paralegal with office management duties in an estate and trust law firm.
4) Is there anything of note you specialize in at your job?
Nope, most notably thing is how anti specialized I am. I wear a lot of hats and do all of the odd jobs from getting the firm insurance, to drafting deads, to tech support by virtue of my age. I am leaving this job to pursue a funded econ masters though. If it does not burned me out I will probably go for an economic history PhD.
5) Are there any past jobs you've done that are of interest?
I did a collection of odd jobs in and out of college. Work a few factory jobs including a brutal 10 hour night shift, at a non profit, and for about a year catering. Hopefully that will give me perspective for economics.
6) What is your name, address, and credit card PIN?
My name is Jesus Tralfaz. l live in Pueblo, Colorado sell aluminum siding and I love The History ChanneI.

Just in case we're still doing this:
1) What degrees and diplomas do you have?
Bachelor's degree in computer science and math (double major)
2) Is there anything of note you specialized in during your education?
Machine learning. At least, that was my favorite subject...
3) What is your current job and/or your career?
PhD student in AI, Deep Learning and Robotics
4) Is there anything of note you specialize in at your job?
I probably specialize in reading copious amounts of books (after effectively "retiring" from computer games recently, I found a lot more time to do other stuff...).
5) Are there any past jobs you've done that are of interest?
Um ... does being a soccer referee count? Ha ha, I'll try and get something interesting along the way.
6) I'm based in the United States.
I saw there was a brief comment about Go (AlphaGo) by darreljs earlier in the thread. Not sure how interested people are in here, but DeepMind's accomplishments were one of the biggest reasons why I wanted to be in AI.
