Are you, in fact, a pregnant lady who lives in the apartment next door to Superdeath's parents? - Commodore

I'm worse at this than I thought them! lol I should defend myself a little though:

Not a fan of Washington?

Mint, Washington, pirate?; eagle, hole; vacuum, roulette, er... ?

Revolution 3: WASHINGTON, misfire on MOON (would have guessed ROULETTE next)
(Blue team supplies STICK.)
Living 3: EAGLE, misfire on GAME (would have guessed MINT next)
Trepan unlimited: HOLE, TEMPLE, return for ROULETTE, MINT, finish with PIRATE, VACUUM

That's very precarious, but also a worst case scenario; there's a decent chance ROULETTE and MINT are guessed earlier. The important thing is to hold a very specific clue like Trepan for later in the round. If we understand it, we know immediately what words are intended, and can use the +1 or unlimited to catch up.

Yeah, revolution would have been better than spin. And getting the clues with misfires out of the way early makes sense too.

Happiness 3 should pick up TEMPLE, MINT and WASHINGTON (hey, he`s charismatic and this is mostly a civ 4 site anyway!)
Treasury 4: PIRATE is obvious. ROULETTE, DIGGING and STICK could with any luck be guessed. It`s still a somewhat risky clue.
Aerial 2 for EAGLE and VACUUM.

Trunk seems more likely for treasury and I don't see vacuum for aerial?

While brainstorming for Red, I thought Gold 4 might be a good clue for you for PIRATE/ROULETTE/TEMPLE/MINT. Then with the STICK gift you'd just have to make 2 pairs which should be easy enough (America & Empty?). Didn't look too closely at potential misfires for Gold though...

Gold is good. You'd hit oil, but other than that the blue words are strong.

I'll have to crowd-source my clues next time...

Happy new year everyone! I’m ready to start the next round whenever. Also, I played a game over the holidays called Person Do Thing that was fun in a similar kind of way to Codenames, though it is wholly cooperative and would not really work via forums, as it relies on lots of small rapid exchanges. You try to describe complex words like REFUGEE or PLACEBO using only a very limited word bank, and the trick is to use those starting words to build up simple concepts as building blocks to get your team toward the final target. You end up with these seemingly random and awkwardly long strings of words that people can nonetheless clearly understand.

That sounds fun - I've played a lot of Just One recently. I wonder if that would transfer well to forum play?

NAIL and THUMB are both obvious. And then it gets harder.

Fingers get COLD quicker than the rest of the body.
A CHICK is perhaps more concerned about her looks (and thus fingers) than most males.
Is there anything called a NAIL BAND in English?
