Yeah, the numbers seems to have been going up quite a bit. The 10 for CivFr was back after they had razed Nobamba but before they had ended turn. That probably means we have had a war weariness change of +15 for CFC and +12 for CivFr during CFC's half of the timer.

I checked the power numbers recently as well, and the rival best had shrunk with 20k, and the total with 162k. The Spanish had 97k, so that's a 65k loss for the rest of the teams. So yes, real fighting between them.

Sitting down with the population numbers right now, and we basically have five tiers:

Us at 150+
CivFr, CFC, and Univers at 130-140
Apolyton and CivPlayers at 90-100
WPC at 80
Germans at 44

Another thing that came out with CivFr's maps is their expansion patterns, which is interesting:

I've colour coded the order in which the cities where founded: red, lime, blue, purple, and gray.

Basically, CivFr first expanded very quickly to four cities (Villageoise at T49, Tirecul followed later on T71). Then they pushed two border cities quite far against CivPlayers, and Pisse-Dru in the north on T78-T96. Then not two but four more cities even further north, before they started to backfill quickly among the secured land.

Note also that they have hardly expanded south and west at all - they have a sizable backline to fill, even though we have one city (Gwin Gwen, T143) that we don't have visibility on.

Really nice work KJN. CivFr really has great natural choke points on both sides, block cities make a lot of sense for them.

I'm surprised how close WPC population is to Apolyton and CP... maybe we can mention that as a carrot if their morale falters...

Okay. So 10 CivFr WW, 2 CFC WW from the CivFr turn

CivFr
Kill 1 city, one unit defending the city, one unit in neutral territory:
6+2+2 = 10
CFC
Lose one unit defending in neutral territory
2 = 2

Pretty sure this is right

On to the next turn from CFC

+12 CivFr WW (22 total) +15 CFC WW (17 total)

CFC = capture unit, attack and lose x 2 attack and win x 4
1 + 6 + 2 x 4 = 15

Civ Fr = unit captured, defend and win x2 defend and lose x4
2 + 2 + 2 x 4 = 12

Other solution is 3 captured workers, 3 failed CFC attacks and 1 successful CFC attack

Estimated body count from this turn:
CFC: 1 city razed, 2 units killed defending, 2 units killed attacking
CivFr: 4 units killed defending, 1 unit captured.

Bottom line: CivFr ministack killed CFC city. CFC responds by attacking ministack, and capturing a worker. Minimum 10 units engaged so far

From production tracking I believe CFC whipped out two knights this turn, in Mantra and Raj.

So no full war mode from CFC yet, but I think that they intend to keep their current force levels up.

Malinalco (CivPlayers) was 2-pop whipped from 58 to 133H. Since the city has buddhism, a granary, buddhist temple and monastery, lighthouse, and theatre, I imagine it's a forge whip. Will have to log in next turn to confirm.

(It's not a sacrificial altar because that'd be a 1-pop whip.)

The Germans has performed three 1-pop and one 3-pop whip, apart from their earlier two 2-pop whips.

I believe Webringen was dry-whipped for 60H, and that Wittenberge and Wien were 2-pop whipped, to 72 and 89H respectively.

The rest are confirmed one-pop whips: Wanzleben (71H), Weil der Stadt (61H), and Warendorf (64H).

CivPlayers also performed whippings, two 1-pop and one 2-pop. The cities whipped were Tuveudurhum, Routedurum, and Bibendum (confirmed 1-pop whip).

In the case of Wien, it's probably a war elephant. The rest might be either longbows or war elephants.

We can play now. Highlights (before I have to take my daughter to swimming classes):

* Apolyton researched Printing Press
* The Germans threw their main stack at WPC's big stack

Both the Germans and WPC got a great general out of it, but the APTmod power graph shows that the Germans lost a quite bit more power than WPC. WPC's war weariness is up to 66. I don't have a note on what they had earlier, but it indicates 20+ combats. Especially bad news for the Germans is that most of WPC's catapults seems to have survived (albeit heavily damaged).
