That is one of the strangest builds ever, but it may be the Next Big Thing ™ since the balance changes. Fireball? Mark of Rodgort? I guess useful as part of a very aggressive 2-man gank squad. Even a healing prayers monk, wow. Well, I'll try anything, but this build smacks of some non-conventional strategies we might want to clue in on.

I know, I could hardly believe how much they were able to hurt people and not get hurt themselves. They were winning flawlessly against top 100 teams. At first when I saw some of the skills they were using I though they would just get rolled in minutes, turned out to be the other way around.

On a similar note: I really like how they were using Steady Stance and Drunken/Desperation to fuel "Fear Me!"

That should make it perfect for us.

On a side note: it might be time to make a new thread since this one seems to be bogged down a bit.

Why is the fashion to hold off on capping? Wouldn't that limit the potential time you have to earn multiple morale boosts?

I'm confused!

BTW, which role do you want me to prepare for? I've been farming faction, so I'll have plenty to spend! smile

The idea is that if you cap right away, then the other team will do so and you're going to have to run back and forth a lot. On the other hand, if you hold off on capping and so do they, the flag runner will still be in the fight. It's mostly a tactical decision. Also, if you can hold off on capping, it gives you the chance to kill their runner while he's still got the flag, thus enabling you to kick theirs, at
which point you can cap and have a better chance of getting morale.

Whichever, nothing's been decided yet so take the one you think you'll be most comfortable with.

Edit: I added the build to the first post.

We were able to get 4 matches in last night, which was higher than our usual 0, that was nice. I think we also learned a lot from the experience in terms of where we need to improve. As I see it, there are two major issues that need resolving. Those are leadership and communication.

The first one, leadership, is the easier one to resolve on paper but harder in practice. It's a simple problem, really, we need someone to step up and take on the leadership role. I don't want it, which is good because I'm not really qualified. I wanted Hawkmoon to take on the role, but unfortunately I don't think that's going to work out. Nothing against Hawk, but she was a bit too indecisive due to lack of experience and, unfortunately, she doesn't play enough to get said experience. It was unfair to her for me to ask her to fill that role. Anyways, whoever steps up is going to need to spend a lot more time in the PvP world in leadership roles.

The other issue we have, which is the harder one to resolve imo, is communication. We just aren't talking to each other in chat and even less so over Vent, which is where we need to be doing so. I can tell you that when I guested for Fang &co., the first thing we did was get on Vent and start discussing strat and who was doing what; a lot of the time people would be on Vent before they were signed on. I think our biggest issue is that we spend so much time soloing everything that we've grown accustomed to not communicating. While that can be a problem for PvE when we do get together, it's pretty disastrous in PvP where, more often than not, the difference between a win and a loss is communication. This is especially a problem for me because I'm a loner by nature.

We need to find some way to get over our non-communication issues in a way that works for us. Maybe we should add a few sub-forums for builds, variants, PvP, and whatever else; and use them, even if it's just four of us bouncing ideas off each other, at least we'll have some communication going. Maybe it's time to kick the year long inactives and recruit more fresh blood (which might be harder now that Drasca's gone). I don't know.

On a more positive note, however, I think the build proved itself despite some early skepticism about it. We just need to get more comfortable with our skill bars so we don't trip over ourselves. It seems to be a good build for us and, more importantly, people (from what I can gather) were having fun with their chars.
