Investment's borders expanded after end of turn. City count:
Rival A: Size 4 and 2.
Rivals B and C: Size 4 and 1.
Rival D and us: Size 3 and 2.

Another problem. Distance maintenance in the game is slightly larger than in the sandbox. So we're paying 2 gpt in city maintenance whereas we're only paying 1 gpt in the sandbox. That's 12 gold to catch up, that might not be doable. So maybe the great lighthouse will need to be postponed to T39.

I guess the game map is slightly larger than the sandbox map. The sandbox used the custom continents map script, other map scripts will produce slightly different map dimensions for the same world size (standard size, in this case).

Yeah, tried it in the sandbox, it's not looking good. It's too late to skip a tech now, as we've already completed Pottery. And our worker actions are pretty much tied up in chops for the next 10 turns.

I guess what might "save" us is early contact granting us tech discounts, and/or a forest growth. Doesn't seem likely though, so I guess T39 is the new finish date.

And played. The SW just keeps on going.

The NW gives us more food but less land.

T29 demographics. Looking alright!

Back at the top in points score, as we are in the top 5 cities table.

That's still pretty early, but we could be in a race. Considering you were thinking about going for a slow TGLh, that's still not too bad.

There's not much else we could have done. I am presuming that early cheap granaries were crucial to the microplan. In any case, we should be making the most use out of our advantages. For that reason, I think we should research Writing after AH. Or do you want to go straight to Maths for a shot at the Pyramids?

Agreed. AH-Writing-Maths sounds good.

Cows/corn/gold looks like a potential fourth city. Go SW-NW next with our warrior there?

Yeah it's a good city site, although I wonder about what's left for the west coast. We need to scout all coast for committing. Sounds good re warrior.
