Not a bad solution, but all in all, would prefer the XP. Subdue Animal Hunters can be pretty broken this early in the game as well - a couple well placed spiders could snipe workers til the cows come home with no immediate recourse, for example.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Ok, so after warrior 3 completes I will switch back to huntign lodge and hunters/hawk
Mardoc, you happy with this approach?

What we really ought to go for is a hybrid approach, hitting first with cheap warriors to wound them and then with Hunters to finish them off. Ideally, with Hunters who were out of line of sight, so they look at, say, 5-6 incoming Warriors/Bloodpets and laugh, then open the next save and see 'your archer was destroyed by a Malakim Hunter'.
Hunters/Hawks do have that main advantage of being what we want anyway after the archers are gone.
I think yes, overall I do agree with that approach, and I agree enough that I think I'll do it as well. Having a lot of hunters/hawks on the map would really give us an early boost. Actually...there's a slight problem with our turn order here - we want the warriors hitting first, but I have most of the warriors. On the other hand, you definitely want to finish that Hunting Lodge so as not to waste the hammers.
I'll have to think about the best way to implement this.

I thought the clan played between us two, hence you hit themwith warriorpults then I mop up with my warriors and hunters before they play

Errr...yes. I really don't know what I was thinking (if I was thinking). I suppose the question is when do we have enough warriorpults and I can stop incurring extra unit support costs. Personally I'm thinking 6 is a good number, so long as we've at least 2 Hunters ready to take advantage of the situation. If they go camping on a hill, then we'd likely need to add another 2 warriors to that.

Well, with the Clan archers on their way south, I decide it's time to explore my dungeon. Good or bad, we can't let them do it first.
Yep, it took two tries to fully explore - the first bloodpet spawned a Spectre (boo, hiss!) but the second one found Bronze! That'll help against first the Spectre and then the Clan
Meanwhile, in the north, the scout found both friendly villagers and his doom - they gave him 23 gold, which he promptly sent our way - and I expect him to be gone next turn:
Now that you've pointed out that you're batting clean up, not me, I decided to continue on Bloodpet spam for the moment.

Once the clan shenanigans are over, definitely want to get multiple scout/hunter out, seems to be a lot of huts on a big map, so a lot of opportunity.

Well, the spectre kicked one of your warriors asses end of turn, but is injured enough the other one should be able to finish it off easily.
I didnt notice your scout at all, but didnt look, but I guess its dead.
My scout found nothing much of interest

Neither bloodpet was willing to attack the spectre. Maybe the Clan won't be able to either . Arwenel's probably a lost cause, though.
