Military-wise:
Up until a few turns ago there was a steady stream of units flowing into our land. For example the last attack group was an archer, a dog, and C1 chariot. We were briefly puzzled, and then attacked with 3 chariots. Won the coinflip battle and the other two were easy. No losses.
However the last few turns have been quiet, which probably means they are hiding troops in the fog. So are we. You can see the majority staged SE of Mind's Desire. These troops can defend either city in 1t and can also move NWNW with a road built underneath them. In a few turns Mind's Desire's borders will pop and we will gain control of the roaded Wine tile 1E of Blackfeet. If their garrison is skimpy the turn before this occurs, we plan to execute the aforementioned NWNW-road play and can then directly attack Blackfeet from our territory the following turn. Axes will target archers, Horse archers can knock down the spear and chariots will then face dogs. So it's conceivable we can attack the city at a decent cost-benefit ratio. However it depends entirely on their actions.
Oh, to interject, that great general chariot was very disappointing. We attached a great general to it with 2 other units on the tile and it's the one that only got 6xp.
Haven't had a chance to earn the 17th yet.
You can see we've gotten some horse archers btw. Unfortunately they are not secret - one of them was discovered by an enemy archer while popping a hut in the north. (The hut just spawned barbs, sadly. We did manage to kill their archer.) In any case we've got 2 down there and a couple more are on the way but we aren't going all-in here.
Tech is coming along...
Because of these, each of which is getting a library and running two scientists. (The bottom one is a former barb city, and it's running a bit behind the others.)
And also because of Mind's Desire of course, which, since it's the front city in the war for our life, is slated to be our bureaucracy science capital. Other people have been getting advanced techs and building wonders left and right, but a few turns ago finally WE did something.
I can't think of a better insult that creating an entire great scientist in the city your opponents are trying to attack. Now it's an academy. And it's going to flip us that wine tile for a limited time.
