[SPOILERS] The Rise of Lewger: A BacoN of Bacon Revenge (bacOn bAcoNbAcon) Bacon

So since this is normal speed we get no bonus for mine chopping. However, I want the chop to go into a worker. But I don't want to start the worker until we are size 3. So I think I will mine/chop to delay the chop. We grow to size 3 in six turns. Then we'll start the worker, the chop will go into. The other worker can improve the pigs and we can start a settler after the worker. The city can work the pigs, mine and corn while the 2nd worker and then the first chop out 2 settlers. First goes to the gems, the second 1SW of the copper. Hopefully we can quickly road to the gems city grow that to two while mining the gems then at 2 work pigs and gems and get an economy boost. Then road to copper city and copper connect copper. Copper city will have to grow on the Sugar.

I sent our first warrior SW. I haven't decided if we're choking Azza or not. He's the only civ at size 3. I think he may have gone WB-WB. Either that or he went WB-warrior, but Azza always sells out farmers gambit. rolleye In either case he needs a worker still. If he went WB-WB-worker... A straight warrior rush might catch him... but with size 3 and good tile yields I think the Worker will finish before our Warrior gets there and he'll have time to build a warrior just as we reach the city.

Still delaying his worker from doing stuff might be really worthwhile.

Hmmm, starting to think maybe we should have gone hunting before BW. We are just teching SO slow...

For a worker at size 2 we get 9hpt and at size 3 10hpt.

T33 - S3 - Food 0/26+0 - Settler 0/100+16+5 - 2Wroad/Settler moves on road, Settles T34;

In this sim I get two chops into the worker and I delay the 2nD Warrior by one turn (by putting a turn of production into a barracks) In order to get 1 H overflow from the warrior on the turn we grow to 3, thereby finishing the worker with the second chop. I think this will be much more efficient. The first settler settles on T34. The Road to the gems city is completed T35. T36 we move onto the gems and have them mined by T40, hooked by T42.

The second settler will be 1 pop whipped since gems city will steal the pigs T34:

T33 - S3 - Food 0/26+0 - Settler 0/100+16+5 - 2Wroad/Settler moves on road;
T34 - S3 - Food 0/26+0 - Settler 21/100+13 - 2W move/road; City Settled T34;
T35 - S3 - Food 0/26+0 - Settler 34/100+13 - 2W move/road; City Connected;
T36 - S3 - Food 0/26+0 - Settler 47/100+13 - 1W move gems/ 1 Worker road to copper city;
T37 - S3 - Food 0/26+0 - Settler 60/100+13 - Gems Mine/Roading;
T38 - S2 - Food 0/24+0 - Settler 103/100+12 - Gems Mine/Roading; Copper Settler finished EOT

Copper settler will settle on T41.

I wonder if getting hunting first and pasturing those pigs directly after the corn (This turn) would have sped things up? I don't think I'm going to torture myself with the possibility but I have a sneaking suspicion that the earlier pig yields would supercede the forest chops in terms of hammers. If I had had more time earlier to actually do more simming, but as I've said I was extremely busy until August. Still we should come out of this about even.

This also means we cannot afford to engage Azza until after copper is hooked up. I think that will be T45-46. And by that point there is no point to antagonizing him.

I think we should build either another worker or a settler after the Copper city Settler. At pop 2 with 2 6 yield tiles we get 12hpt which is good for a 5T worker.

Oh and if there's any questions about my "abacus" handiwork, please ask away.

I'm also banking on The Wheel only taking 8 turns with overflow from hunting and an extra commerce from working the forest spice before the pigs are ready.

Oh man Azza has a second copper in his capital's 3rd ring. So... at least maybe he'll settle away from us towards the FP, wheat copper location.

I found Jesters capital. 22 tiles away from our capital due West. So he's not even close. he must've beelined his scout in our direction.

Who's to our north then? No one? please be no one.

lewwyn - well there's no point in sending warriors towards the second copper then.
