Aight I played the turn:

Sorry. Did you know he was there? At least we have a 50-50 shot.

Serdoa is defending:

I'm pissed he settled on us to get that pig. We probably shouldn't settle towards him at all though. That will give us a large border and peaceful relations. I'M A GROWN UP!

More importantly no axe from Serdoa even though he has copper in BFC.

Even more importantly free barb city for us. There is a peak there so I don't think Serdoa can get to it easily. We just need to send an axe over there and beat up on a warrior garrison.

I think we still settle for the gold next. Maybe we finish this settler slowbuilding with a chop then start a worker and 2 pop whip that for a 2T worker. Regrow on an axe then start a new settler for ivory. With chop settler finishes t47, worker then t49. Axe with overflow should finish when we hit size 4 again.

Workers currently finish the mine then finish the forest chop (1 worker only) then they start roading toward gold site:

So where do we settle? I think gold is the question ivory I think is clear and fine. But we settle that after gold. Gold do we want it first ring? Food second ring? With the cows there I think we'll want another city on the otherside of the gold to grab the cows, but how close is that to the next neighbor over? Next turn we'll see a bit more, but I'm sorely tempted to grab gold first ring even though in the long term that might be a mistake. Instead we should probably settle first ring pigs with gold second ring, chop granary, whip barracks. And settle the cows on the otherside.

We still have time but we should talk about it.

Also tech. At 905 we finish AH in 6 turns. At 100% we get it in 6 turns. So if we want AH quickly we run 90%. If we want to be the most efficient we turn tech to 0% for one turn and get AH in 7 turns. We need to decide quickly. I left it on 90% for the moment because 6t is early enough to affect where we settle the settler maybe. Pretty torn about it though.

Okay. Welll we discussed this by chat I know, but just want to confirm that I support 90% science right now and settling 1E of the pigs next.

Lost a 68% battle to teh barb.

There's the city. There's the 3rd ivory I've seen.

Other than that not much happening.

Next turn worker on the copper starts roading to gold/pigs site. Other worker finishes chop into settler.
Warriors keep exploring.

BTW just to point out but Phryigan is coastal. Meaning those 3 lakes south of it are lighthouseable lakes.

I just played the 3rd turn in 9-10 hours...

Warrior is coming back to the gold site. Settler finishes EOT. The workers both finish roads next turn. The settler has to move onto the windmill. From there it goes directly to the site 1E of pigs. The workers then road the pigs BEFORE we settle the city for instant TRs. The warrior will have vision all around it so it will be safe even if the warrior isn't there yet.

I had to whip the WB because we were losing gold on maintenance and it was delaying AH. By whipping we finish AH at 90% in 3T before the city regrows (4t).

Another turn. 4 in 18-20 hours so far.

Barb south of our warrior, yuck. Other than that though it looks clear.

BTW the settler gave us a blue circle south of the ivory so at least the game seems to agree with our dotmapping.

Going to bed. If the turn rolls while I'm asleep like I'm sure it will, Remember to whip the worker, and overflow to axe. Workers road. New worker starts roading to ivory I think, or cottages. Warriors explore and/or protect new gold city. Settler moves to 1E of pigs to settle.

Hah. I logged in, and I was confused why the worker was already whipped. Turns out you beat me to the turn by literally 4 minutes. Nicely done. lol
