Just a quick post to give the graphs on Grimace that we got this turn:














I'm now doing 2/2 split between Grimace & Commodore. At least for a few turns.

Oh wowzers....ok, I think I've just fully been swayed to settle that SE spot as our C3. That city just got 10 times better....with now also having Cows in first ring, along with that wet Corn:



Also, Commodore is now putting EPs into us pretty heftily. But if he was putting them all into retep earlier (since he was putting none into me), now is about the time he would have gotten graphs on him, allowing him to switch to me.
Our current ratio is 12/17
And we're keeping ourselves ahead of Grimace being at 26/40.
So I'm gonna go 3/1 Commodore/Grimace for a bit.

Next turn we (hopefully) see Copper!!!! It'd be really cool if it pops up under one of our current mines (or at least our next planned mine of the RGH).
As soon as the turn flips, I'll log in to get the details and make a new sandbox at that time.

Can't remember if I asked this before. When exactly does the Known Tech Bonus come into play for when I'm researching something that one of my neighbors already has?

Total awesomeness. Copper is on the PH that we will be finishing the mine on next turn...



Don't know if I'll get the sandbox done tonight, so that may need to wait until morning. Then can run some SIMs during the day.

EDIT: Bah, just realized I ended my turn. So if everyone miraculously plays their turns quickly, I won't have time to SIM before a turn goes into Fishing. And the whole idea was to sim which tech to do after BW. Guess I'll just have to get started on it early enough tomorrow and hope people don't play quickly.

In pb18 its once someone has a classical tech. I dunno if that got changed for this version of the mod. If its the same then it increases as you move into new ages (renaissance, industrial,etc).

New sandbox is complete. Happy playing, Mindy (or anyone else).
I'm going to work on the new sims right now. I'm gonna start with a Fishing first test. This starts at T18 with the city working the tiles I was working when I ended turn on T18 in the actual game.

So the decision of which tech path to start was made for us due to my having ended the turn last night and everyone else then finishing before I could truly analyze enough SIMs. Fishing it is.

But now a new decision (and this time I have not yet ended turn):



With the Copper Mine finishing this turn, that means no more quick Warriors. But as per the above, I think if I pull the Settler out of the queue for this turn that it will complete the Warrior next turn. I might try to SIM this (but if any lurker can confirm that would happen), but that will be an option for a quick MP warrior if want to delay the Settler by a turn (which is still a turn earlier than all other SIMs due to the Copper). Otherwise (as per my SIMs) next turn it will switch to Spearman which would then get completed later.

EDIT: Ok, disregard the bulk of this post. I just ran a SIM and upon the changing of the turn if I have the Warrior as the next thing in the queue it switches to a Spearman and hence does not complete next turn. So guess I'll be sticking with the Settler in there.

So now any SIMs will just be to confirm what tech order we do after Fishing and if there is anything special we do with workers and such in order to get cities and techs in a nice flow. My first sim had that SE City#3 being settled too many turns before I had a road to it. That's one of the drawbacks of settling down there. The Gold city didn't need a connected road to it when it was settled because the two cities were connected by coast. So I may do things to delay that city in one of my sims such that it gets settled on the same turn a connecting road is finished.
