RAY of light, obviously.
Then MICROSCOPES are often light-MICROSCOPES
And light corresponds with DAY

[spoiler]
going through them:

MINT (its wafer thin!)
Light can WAKE you up
DAY light
MICROSCOPE bends rays of light
as do DIAMONDS
Most games have a light SPELL
Some POOLs have lights in them
RAY of Light

Of those RAY and DAY seem like no brainers, probably put MICROSCOPE in 3rd

Rho, looks like the 3 of us have arrived at the same answer, if you agree feel free to point, would prefer my order if nobody objects

No worries, I managed to avoid being spoiled. I agree with everyone's top three.

Point to Ray.
Point to Day.
Point to Microscope.
Pass.

Hmm, back to the drawing board on Frozen. Lewwyn must not be a Disney fan.

MINT is a popular ice cream flavor.
Sled DOGs are good transportation.
LOCKs get frozen in the winter.
DIAMONDs are called ice, as Molach mentioned.
The MERCURY in a thermometer gets low when it's cold outside.

CALF and CROSS seem like clear winners.
A DOG is another potential sacrificial animal.
A SPELL sometimes requires a sacrifice on the part of the caster.

For Frozen, it's still possible that Princess is an answer (if Lewwyn didn't know Elsa is a queen), but I favor Mercury.

Agreed with CALF and CROSS.

I still want to continue with PRINCESS for Frozen, I still think he's going for the movie and either didn't know Elsa is a queen or thought we might not or just thought Princess was the stronger association with Disney. I think it still has to be the movie, you'd say Ice if you were trying to get to Diamond or something else. I don't like Mercury, it does have to do with thermometers, but you'd say something like Chilled to get there since you can't actually stick a thermometer in something frozen.
