I am fine with a dice roll and maybe Sullla could do it as he has to set the play order when he creates the final save. I would suggest some who is familiar with PYDT be first.

Making progress I volunteered to take over from Sullla due to my familiarity with the World Builder. Awaiting input from lurkers at the moment. Depending on comments and any necessary changes it *might* be ready tonight. If not then for sure tomorrow.

On that note, I don't know what is actually involved with starting a PYDT game. My assumption was that I'd make the necessary changes to the map file, start a hotseat game with players in the correct order, and then PM or email starting save to the first player. Is this correct?

Correct! One thing before starting the game, if you have the DLCs, make sure to disable all except Aztecs when starting the game. I am not sure if everybody has them and don't want to run into issues. Other than that, the starting player will need to know the map script (snowflake I assume), speed (standard), and number of players (6) when setting up the PYDT game. I don't think the other settings matter. Finally, all the 6 players need to be set to "Human" in the lobby of the game but the starting player can set those (if I remember correctly).

One thing remains, who is the starting player. As familiarity with PYDT is required, are our new players familiar with it. We don't want to screw this up by mixing up the turn order. We need to join the game in EXACTLY that order.
