Sorry I couldn't post sooner. Busy day.
I would have agreed with everyone on all three words, though. And Feminist is such a good clue for them, that I have to believe it was planned in advance, the easy clue left for last so we could guess all the others. In which case the overlap is likely to be between the other two clues: Piano and Hanging. The overlapping word could be either SWING or BELL (assuming BELL is blue):

If SWING is the overlapping word, we have:
Piano: IVORY/BELL/SWING
Hanging: APPLE/BELT/SWING + either TOWER or SQUARE
Feminist: AMAZON/MARCH/REVOLUTION

If BELL is the overlapping word, we have:
Piano: IVORY/BELL + HOTEL
Hanging: SWING/APPLE/BELT/BELL
Feminist: AMAZON/MARCH/REVOLUTION

So at the end of the day, we have to make a decision between HOTEL or TOWER/SQUARE as our ninth word. But in the meantime I think APPLE and BELL are very likely to be Blue words, with BELT only slightly less likely, and I would guess them in that order. (Though order doesn't matter all that much, because if we don't get everything right, Red wins on the next round.) Does that make sense?

I think we have a good consensus for the next two (maybe next three?)...

Thank you. Like the first game, the 8-board was less difficult than the 9-board. I found BILL the hardest word to connect, but I had plenty of options for connections and few pitfalls. I could have done Galileo for ROME and TELESCOPE, Quit for COLD and TURKEY, and other combos. I had to make the bold move of allowing the possibility that Red Team would hit TOWER and trip a blue word, but since Blue team had hit gray words early both turns and were strongly considering APPLE for pointing, I felt we would have a third turn, and so even if we did hit blue, we would get the right one on that turn. The team even got that right, though. I also hoped that Pluto would connect strongly enough to COLD and considered Europa 2 as the round 3 clue, but I couldn't see any pitfalls for Pluto, and there was no reason to get fancy.

Now, as a non sequitur, here's a hypothetical rules question for everyone: suppose you wanted to clue SQUARE and ROOT, but not REVOLUTION. According to the rules, you can't use the number as part of the clue (Arm 8 for OCTOPUS is an illegal clue). So, would RADICAL 2 be a legal clue? On the one hand Radical does tie, on its own, to SQUARE-ROOT. But on the other, the clue is much stronger when you say the phrase "Radical two."
