ill fit in Kalevala eventually, thats good. LOTR is a bit too modern, I don't really consider it an epic anyway.

Lots more epics in the rest of the world too!
I do prefer European epics But I have china, 2x india, arab, and mayan already . anyway Im aware of most of those, looking for specific suggestions for specific cities anyway I think I have all except azza's copper island figured out for now. and that will probably be the last we can capture anyway.

more specifically: I've used ramakien already (rama's journey), plan to use journey to the west. 2 chinese epics is enough, and I really think red chamber and water margin are more in the novel realm.
I like Kebra (Glory of the Kings) and mahavamsa. keep in mind the 15 character limit makes some works unusable .

well from civ stats I can tell that we landed the sistene chapel (yay) and also that commodore at least didn't research a tech this turn (no score increase). both good news, looking good so far.

it sucks waiting on azza to play his turn. I wish I was at war with someone like Brick, commodore, or plako that logs in to play their turn as it rolls every time :/.
here's a teaser pick while we wait: we've had the temple for more than 1000 years - I didn't realize that would double the +5 sistene culture on the temple as well . kinda nifty for the culture victory thing. once we hit nationalism and can take off the wealth builds, I've got some jewish buildings to build in strategic places to take advantage of the buffed culture .

He's probably writing exams right now; it's that time of year. Poor guy's probably stressed at trying to fight a war at the same time - I know I was!
That culture thing is really funky. I'll have to remember that for the next time I try a culture win - build 'dem religious buildings early.
Yay! An important step in Cultural victory accomplished. Things are looking good.
Need anything from me?
“The wind went mute and the trees in the forest stood still. It was time for the last tale.”
don't have a lot of time but need to do a quick report:
azza attacked out with his cats and 2 maces, but not with the crossbows or elephant. (notice that brick gifted us his crippled galley for some reason ). hmm. had planned to be conservative, but this seemed to easy. I was able to bombard him down to 5% with all but 2 cats, so decided to go ahead and take the capital with stack alpha. here's how the battle went: finally Beowulf is able to start growing: a couple of whips: have a chop coming in here (the furs on the mainland go to volsung instead of gilgamesh, unfortunately) so im going to use this to get an extra whip and whip out the courthouse here I found a partially build lighthouse here that was starting to decay, heh. so I whipped it out. I will regrow to 8 then 2 pop the market right before we revolt. we now have another GG that I'm again not sure what to do with, hehe.
