Glad you remembered, because I had forgot about the library plan!
There's a problem with it, though - we won't be able to whip the library next turn. We need to get 15h into it to be able to 2-pop whip the library, so we would have to swap two of our food sources over to mines. I'm not sure that's worth it here, especially since the library is such a small percentage chance of completing. If we get the GE then we can fire our specialists and put them on mines, then whip the library in 2t time. Or if you think it's important enough we can swap the corn and the crab over to the two mines and that would get us to 16h
Well, how much apprehension do you have scooter? I had quite a bit when I saw the turn had rolled.
Good news: Prophet is going to be a big boost for us; I think we need to get Culver's going on a market after that missionary finishes.
Bad news: Commodore lands The Great Library
And we're on our own wonder:
Figure we want to get that done. Grow Sid's to happy cap and then have it put out our next settler since Culver's needs to get a market and some infra in.
Played the turn and ended since Scooter seems to be pretty busy (and I have the day off)
We had a world map trade proposal from Serdoa when I opened
And also this from Merohoc:
I denied at first, but then I re-offered it to them. We were helped immensely by the kindness of others, so I feel a bit obligated to help another team that is in need of it and likely on their way out.
Then we got to use our new favorite person:
Here's the city after the shrine. 19 Hindu cities, and we're about to spread the faith to 2 more
Next target is a market, for obvious reasons. I think we should whip a forge in ahead of it. We can start the forge next turn, whip it on 159, start the market on 160 and then either 3-pop whip it on 163 or 2-pop whip it on 165. Edit: Double-checked and whipping a forge ahead of it will speed up the completion of the market, so we should definitely do that.
Here's our Moai city:
We used all 4 of our northern workers and finished a quick workshop this turn. After moai finishes we'll put 16h into a lighthouse to get it to 23/60 and then 1-pop it to completion. Then max food and work the coast.
Not much else to report. We still have lots of things to build, so figuring out the priorities is the tricky part.
Thanks for covering the turn. Yeah, little busy right now - mainly just limited access to Civ. Headed home tomorrow so things should be back to normal shortly.
There's one more forest here. We can move workers onto it T159 and have a forest chopped on T161 into the granary. We produce 6h of overflow into granary (after being scaled down), which turns into 9h into a granary. A chop is worth 45h after overflow, which bumps up to 51h. The rest can easily be gotten by the base tile & by borrowing the iron mine from Jamba Juice, which just whipped off it anyways. Enough for the granary to complete on T161.
Short of it: forge before granary here absolutely uses our forests more efficiently. I'm ballpark estimating it delays us to sz3 no more than 1T. Good idea or bad idea? Fire away.
Well forge before granary saves you 12h on the granary. It looks like you'll finish the granary in time to fill it up before growing to size 2, so that's probably worth it.
