It seems pretty clear to me that Team Lewwyn have been camping the turn timer in order to go second in any wars (which is *explicitly* not allowed; only the person attacking on a specific turn has the right to wait, and on that specific turn), so go figure.

I guess they were going to declare war specifically this turn, as I have to imagine otherwise that they were just playing clock games and there were not grounds for a reload. If Superdeath had done this on any of the previous 5 turns, for example. That would have been pretty interesting.

I fully intend to move after them on the turn I declare war, and I am curious to see if they try any of these shenanigans again. I can’t stand the idea of peacetime turnsplits, and the fact that they said they were in one with us, ignoring SD for a minute, is frankly absurd. Not only that, it also goes directly against the etiquette thread. You can probably tell, I think it is bad sportsmanship, and doubly so coming from the team that whinges about clock games so frequently. Not impressed at all.

I see we are steering towards the next reload.

If anything I think the apparent codification of the rules and the belief that they are infallible if followed may have caused more problems than it solved because people point to their interpretation of the rules and say that they are in the right.

Can anyone think of any recent turn order controversies apart from the one in PB52 that Noble mentions (where MJMD was naively trying to do the right thing with a PM about turn order but earned Noble's everlasting wrath), PB53 Scooter vs Commodore and this game?

No, but isn't that around half the recent PB games, with one of the controversies ending in a game's termination?

Before these the last one I hazily remember is as far back as PB20-something with a TOW game? But my memory is shot so I'll take correction.

My theory is that we had some vets come back with a different interpretation from what was hammered out in the etiquette thread (Noble in particular seems to hate the version we have in there) and they're clashing with what we've been doing for the last threeish years.

It's good that we've got a conversation going about it now, shame it had to be due to fiery controversy.

But my pre-game prediction is looking great now, right?
