Ha found it. I integrated that only the player, who circumnavigated gets a message about their achievment. Unfortunately there is a mistake in my code that lead to everybody else getting the circumnavigation message too. But from that message alone they can't know, who circumnavigated nor the nature of the bug. I opted not to update the mod for this tiny bug.

Ruff building scouts for wealth confusing SD and OH is making me smile. Note even this trick wasn't enough to overcome no economic trait on a very big map. Or he messed other things up; really hard to tell with little reporting.

He should have deleted some scouts to reduce cost

Yeah, holding on to them surely defeats the economic reasoning?

But it's far more entertaining for us this way

Man considering SD said he was sending warnings Ruff got nothing here...... Wonder if he has a elephant cat stack at all / if it is on Serdoa/Cairo border.

I would probably do a runby instead of throwing knights away potentially, but eh probably won't matter.

Edited image; realized I had wrong one.

You think with all those scouts he would have seen it coming mischief

Well thanks to Noble in PB56 this PB finally closes the gap to PB56 smile. As always all the data can be found here: PB58 Tracking

Before we start some notable observations from the last 50 turns:
  • AT smashed his praetorians against a wall called Tarkeel
  • Serdoa left a well developed empire to Mr. Cairo and chewed a bit on Ruff
  • Jowy started his conquest of Ruff
  • Superdeath was not involved in a major war so far!!!

General state of the game

First of all the city count:
  1. Tarkeel = 23
  2. Serdoa/Mr. Cairo = 22
  3. AT = 22
  4. Jowy = 21
  5. Superdeath = 19
  6. Ruff = 10
Nothing that we didn't know already, but good to know for the players, when they read it. Next up the pop count as of T150.
  1. Jowy = 164
  2. Serdoa/Mr. Cairo = 158
  3. AT = 143
  4. Superdeath = 140
  5. Tarkeel = 118
  6. Ruff = 79
We know that Tarkeel is in recovery mode and recently settled a lot of cities, which might explain the lower pop numbers. It looks like this game will get a new leader shortly in Jowy, which goes to show that people tend to call a game too early. Remember how everybody believed that Serdoa was going to win this game 50 turns ago.
As you know I'm also tracking Gold and Science output in addition to Total Commerce. Gold and Science statistics are still close, so I won't bother to post about each individually. You will see all the numbers later in my result screenshot. I opted to post the gold current turn numbers here with the total commerce numbers in parenthesis for comparison.
  1. Serdoa/Mr. Cairo (FIN) = 731 (670)
  2. Superdeath = 666 (512)
  3. AT (FIN) = 638 (616)
  4. Jowy (ORG) = 521 (470)
  5. Tarkeel (ORG) = 487 (487)
  6. Ruff = 302 (231)
We can see that some players started using the power of percentage based modifiers. We now see that AT is using FIN a lot better then before. Still Superdeath is doing better in gold, which is mainly due to the modifiers applied to his economy. Our two ORG leaders are lagging behind, but because their trait improves maintenance we need to look at the current maintenance costs too:
  1. Serdoa/Mr. Cairo (FIN) = 370
  2. AT (FIN) = 315
  3. Jowy (ORG) = 242
  4. Tarkeel (ORG) = 241
  5. Superdeath = 238
  6. Ruff = 129
As predicted the ORG leaders maintenance cost is lower then the others. But more surprisingly is that Superdeath maintenance is lower then even those of the ORG players. From the numbers I can see that his city maintenance is even lower then his civic maintenance. So he must have built a lot of courthouses. To get a better grasp of the actual economic potential we now take the delta of our gold and maintenance
  1. AT (FIN) = 301
  2. Serdoa/Mr. Cairo (FIN) = 300
  3. Superdeath = 274
  4. Tarkeel (ORG) = 246
  5. Jowy (ORG) = 228
  6. Ruff = 102
I think this is one of the most interesting statistics of the current game state. We can see that the game is still up for everybody to win, except for Ruff. AT is doing a lot better then expected thanks to FIN and lower maintenance. Serdoa/Mr. Cairo is still in a great position like before. Superdeath is in a remarkable position with his traits (CRE,EXP) Unfortunately Tarkeel is doing worse, but should get back soon due to the number of cities planted. And lastly Jowy isn't anywhere close to the top position, but will get there thanks to Ruff's scout defense plans. In fact Jowy actually needs this conquest to stay competitive.
But these are only the current turn numbers. We should also look at the accumulated numbers. Like the current turn numbers the gold and science numbers are still close together, which is why I opt to show only the gold with total commerce in parenthesis again.
  1. Serdoa/Mr. Cairo (FIN) = 27464 (25670)
  2. Superdeath = 21239 (19361)
  3. Jowy (ORG) = 20603 (19897)
  4. AT (FIN) = 19612 (18692)
  5. Tarkeel (ORG) = 16476 (16450)
  6. Ruff = 13766 (11873)
Here we can see that Tarkeel got hurt a lot more by the attack from AT then expected. A lot of players assume that Jowy is in a leading position as of now, but as we can see others are doing fine too. But once again we need to set these numbers into perspective with the maintenance cost:
  1. Serdoa/Mr. Cairo (FIN) = 17082
  2. Superdeath = 12732
  3. AT (FIN) = 12510
  4. Jowy (ORG) = 9669
  5. Tarkeel (ORG) = 9627
  6. Ruff = 8863
No wonder that the ORG leaders are doing well here. Once again we take the delta of Total Commerce and maintenance for a full picture:
  1. Jowy (ORG) = 10228
  2. Serdoa/Mr. Cairo (FIN) = 8588
  3. Tarkeel (ORG) = 6823
  4. Superdeath = 6629
  5. AT (FIN) = 6182
  6. Ruff = 3010
Now finally we see why Jowy is deemed the leader of the game. We also see who the real winner in the AT vs Tarkeel war was. In the end I think this game is still wide open for all of the remaining 5 relevant players.

Financial Bonus

As a disclaimer just as last time, here I collected all the extra commerce a player (would) have gained if he was working Financial tiles. For example if you worked a coast tile you normally gain 2 commerce and 3 commerce with FIN. In this case my tool notes down 1 extra commerce. You will also find that I am tracking the CtH implemenation of Financial as well as the normal BtS implemenation for comparison.

Looking at the current turn numbers first:
  1. Serdoa/Mr. Cairo (FIN) = 120
  2. Jowy (ORG) = 113
  3. Tarkeel (ORG) = 97
  4. Superdeath = 96
  5. AT (FIN) = 90
  6. Ruff = 51
Clearly AT isn't playing FIN to its fullest advantage, if he's doing worse then every other non-FIN leader. Let's see if the same holds true in the cumulative numbers.

Here the cumulated numbers:
  1. Serdoa/Mr. Cairo (FIN) = 5313
  2. Jowy (ORG) = 3906
  3. Superdeath = 3410
  4. AT (FIN) = 3000
  5. Tarkeel (ORG) = 2613
  6. Ruff = 2247
I hate to say this, but more evidence that AT isn't playing FIN properly, although a bit better then the current turn numbers show. At the same time we see that Serdoa is benefiting a lot from FIN. Regular readers know that I also compare these numbers to the BtS implementation. Again the current turn numbers. I've also put the delta between CtH and BtS in parenthesis:
  1. Serdoa/Mr. Cairo (FIN) = 151 (31)
  2. Jowy (ORG) = 122 (9)
  3. Superdeath = 105 (9)
  4. Tarkeel (ORG) = 105 (8)
  5. AT (FIN) = 104 (14)
  6. Ruff = 63 (12)
Even in BtS AT would do worse, so you can't blame the nerf. But more interestingly is that Mr. Cairo still has a lot of potential for more FIN commerce.
Let's turn to the accumulated numbers now. Again these are the BtS numbers with the difference towards CtH in parenthesis and the effectivness of my nerf in percent.
  1. Serdoa/Mr. Cairo (FIN) = 6194 (881) -14%
  2. Jowy (ORG) = 4754 (848) -17%
  3. Superdeath = 3878 (468) -12%
  4. AT (FIN) = 3522 (522) -14%
  5. Tarkeel (ORG) = 2978 (365) -12%
  6. Ruff = 2659 (412) -15%
We see that the overall reduction is around 12%-17%. These are the lowest reduction numbers I've seen so far in any PB. I think this is due to the long peaceful development phase of this PB.

Now you might remember that I also tracked my new 2.0 implementation. This bonus is essentially the same, but you need to build a lighthouse to unlock it for the cities water tiles. Now of course because this isn't implemented here the players have less incentive to build a lighthouse for this bonus. But I think these numbers can still help to evaluate the extreme cases of this implementation. If it is in place, we do expect the players to go for lighthouses sooner. Let's look at the current turn numbers with the numbers of the current implementation in parenthesis.
  1. Serdoa/Mr. Cairo (FIN) = 115 (120)
  2. Jowy (ORG) = 113 (113)
  3. Tarkeel (ORG) = 94 (97)
  4. Superdeath = 93 (96)
  5. AT (FIN) = 88 (90)
  6. Ruff = 45 (51)

Overall these numbers are pretty close to the numbers from the current implementation, which is good because this nerf aims at the early turns. Now let's look at the accumulated numbers. You will once again find the reduction in percentage compared to BtS:
  1. Serdoa (FIN) = 4219 -31%
  2. Jowy (ORG) = 3767 -20%
  3. Superdeath = 3143 -18%
  4. AT (FIN) = 2691 -23%
  5. Tarkeel (ORG) = 2437 -18%
  6. Ruff = 1762 -33%
It's no surprise that the reduction is lower for ORG leaders as they have more incentives to build lighthouses. Compared to T100 we now see that the reduction is in a more reasonable area with most players in the area of 18% - 23%.

Protective Bonus

Nobody took PRO in this game, but that shouldn't be a reason not to track it. Here are the current turn numbers:

  1. Tarkeel (ORG) = 55
  2. Jowy (ORG) = 30
  3. Serdoa (FIN) = 26
  4. AT (FIN) = 20
  5. Superdeath = 14
  6. Ruff = 0
Overall the PRO numbers improved over the last 50 turns even though this is a peaceful game so far and there are enough foreign trade routes. Now remember that Tarkeel has the Great Lighthouse with that he most likely has more trade routes then foreign cities available to him, which would explain his high numbers in this category. Let's go the accumulated numbers:
  1. Serdoa (FIN) = 1806
  2. Tarkeel (ORG) = 1474
  3. Superdeath = 1189
  4. Jowy (ORG) = 1109
  5. AT (FIN) = 1082
  6. Ruff = 364

Now I mentioned in the T100 report that I also tracked the new implementation of 100% trade yield here. I just wanted to mention that there is no difference between these implementations so far. In the past Jowy slipped into one edge case that gave him some extra 38 commerce compared to the current implementation. Now Superdeath also mentioned to slip into this edge case or got some extra cash from it in another way, but it's still only 30 commerce.

Misc

I'm tracking a lot more but there is not enough information there to justify an own paragraph. Therefore a little summary here:
  • AGG is still not generating a lot of money (highest is 12 per turn for Jowy). Now this is to be expected with this peaceful development
  • Nobody used Serfdom so far and only one player (Serdoa/Mr. Cairo) used Caste System for 10 turns

Comparing traits

The main goal of all this tracking of course is to compare the economic traits related around commerce income or maintenance reduction. So let's do this:

Not that much can be said about the traits that we didn't already know from past PBs

  1. The old order of FIN>ORG>PRO>>AGG still holds true.
  2. For some players PRO is almost as good as ORG (Tarkeel)
  3. AGG is doing poorly in a peaceful game like this.
  4. Even with the lighthouse nerf FIN is doing better then ORG.
