[PB61 - Spoiler] Jackrb's Football's coming home

Alrighty. Got a few things to note here. Note that i did not make any changes or move any units this turn. Im also fine with basically ALL of our city choices for locations, and ive noted the 1 that ive thought should be split into 2 cities to cover a missing resource. All of my city placements were done using the dotmapping tool which is used via Alt X. You can remove them using the same function/change their color ect. Went with bright pink for visual.

First off. Our main rival Inca has TECH vision on us. We dont seem to border Vanrober, so i wouldnt worry about getting graphs on him and focus on keeping tech vision off of us.

I think you overbuilt mines vs cottages. Yes, we are IMP however, we arent going to be doing great when we can only field axes vs maces/ect. 1 cottage being done on t64 isnt what we want to go for. I would swap Waterdream from its oasis to the cottage and make sure it doesnt grow into unhappiness. (avoid growth #bestthinginthisgame)

Ive marked what should be our next city to the west as it has a ton of floodplains that would love some cottages on them. A couple of our workers can head there once the settler is in route. UNTIL then, i would send an extra worker or two south to help speed up the gems (i made a note to road first then start mining) I see that our southern neighbor has pretty high power for so few of cities so i would also send any extra axes south. That gems road also helps our axe that got displaced from Inca's new city move around faster as well. (i dont typically put notes on top of cities/units. if i Dont put notes on top of things i point to what i would be putting the note on with < > ^ ect arrows just fyi)

Writing for a library in our border city is badly needed to keep/gain control of key tiles such as the forested hill that can see directly into the Incan city. Right now they can see our BORDER city is guarded by just a warrior. If i was inca i would be quite tempted to chop that forest and road/kill our city with 1 chariot.

The 2 workers near the capital that finished mining, i would have finish that cottage, finish the road, road further west, just in time for the settler to go settle i think.

Do note that i have made some signs/updates since these screenshots were taken. But just a brief overview.

Any questions at all, or if you want me more/less hands on. ECT let me know

Thanks for the general overview, extremely helpful and instructive. Now that we're kinda transitioning out of the super early game, overview like these are good to read. Good to know my city placement is at least decent heh.

Good spot, I should check espionage screen more often.
Actually, is there a quick way to check how much espionage is roughly needed for stuff like this (without needing to be reactive)? Time to read up, methinks.

I have to agree, think I built 1/2/3 too many mines in retrospect, let IMP get to my head a bit here. Swapped over to cottage too, good spot.

Was concerned about this border city, and was sending over an axe to at least ensure it had something other than a warrior. May squeeze out a spear somewhere, would like to start building them now, for the south border too.
As a side note, I really need to learn about how vision works in this game, my knowledge/awareness about this is pretty bad. More reading up to do.

Generally followed (and was going to do by and large). Sent one worker down to gems, cottage is going up in capital, and chop continues for capital.

Not much right now, I think having broad overview and posts like this is useful for pointing out stuff that I've missed/not considered, but I'll have a think regardless. You probably have a better idea on what guidance I need than I do haha

As a RL side note, I have a wedding to attend coming up, which may interfere with turn playing a little bit. Hopefully not, but I'll make a note in tech thread if I need extensions/cover.

Espionage screen with the "ai" espionage on to see what they can see of yours is the easiest way. Sadly, it doesnt show past graphs/tech vision, so you can only guess/calculate if they can potentially see your cities ect. I check it every couple turns if im not at the stage where people have courthouses/likely going to be putting a turn of EP spending into me.

Can buzz me here or discord ect if you cant make a turn. Using the @superdeath should ping me if used in the RealmsBeyond discord. If i dont have my phone muted so i can sleep..

As a side note, i do wish that Charriu would implement the RTR mod change that gave workshops an added +1 hammer from the get-go so that a hammer economy can be worth it instead of Cottage Cheese being the only real way..

Also is there a pressing reason to not be playing back to back turns? If there is feel free to /smack me, but it A: makes it look like we are planning to attack someone and B: Usually slows the turnpace down.

Not really, that case was me doing a turn and then realising I had something else to do. Not really a real reason other than my own lack of planning in my life tongue

Also something I forgot to note down, GG born in distant land a couple turns ago. Interesting.
