Rifling is a LONG way away. It's 15-20 turns to cannons, after I get curaissers.
Actually, I'm now in an infrastructure phase, since it seems pretty clear that the game will keep going.
I'm debating on building Taj. I'm debating building West Point, which I NEVER build. But I do have stone now that TT is gone. I might build Angkor Wat, which fits in with a priest economy well (and I'm running some priests).
I think a lot will depend on if I can kill his 3rd city at some point. If I can do that, I might be able to pound around in his land pillaging him.
it'll be tough, though - I have squandered units like a Montezuma this game, to no real good. The hammer loss is no big deal - I 1 turn nearly anything - but giving promos and GG is a bad thing.

after some thought, I'm going to spend the 6 turns to build Taj. Why? switch to mercantilism, mainly, plus a boost to my research for cannons, if that turns out to be important,.

Zero picked up banking. I shall research it to correspond with Taj finishing.

2 turns to GA and mercantilism. I'm about to dump 40+ units on a hill next to Guangzho II, which currently has an LB, a sword and 2 spears. no walls, no castle. he'll maybe get walls up, which 15 seige units will rip apart.

Me (in two stacks)
Him:
presumably, he has a lot more units nearby, but I'll be on the hill and he has no gunpowder units, so my stack defenders will keep us in good shape.

The forces arrayed:
That should be enough to raze Gangzhou, though maybe not on the first turn. My stack is big, but does have some crap in it, mainly to soak up collateral damage. I should have enough seige to do a lot of collateral on all of his units, thoiugh.
got a GS in McHale's Navy - now I have a GS and a GM.

He hit my stack with his stack. It didnt' really work out well for him, though.
His losses:
cho-ko-nu 7
knight 2
mace 1
chariot 2
pike 1
my losses:
mace 1
musket 1
knight 1
I then killed a knight he didn't get into his city.
I promoted everyone and am doing a turn of healing. Most of the units should be at full strength except for some of the seiege (gotta love Medic III) and I kill the city next turn.

Game over! zero conceded.
I'll post some final pics of my civ with some stats. I will say that this game worked exactly as I had hoped it would for me - no one attacked me early (whether that was because of NA or not, I don't know), allowing me to use my 2 traits to snowball into an economic lead and sustain a large attack force while still running 70% science.
I'll add some analysis of the game after I look through the other threads.

State of the empire:
The capitol. Lot's of lovely commerce. Interestingly, at the health cap, not really at the happy cap.
The GP Farm:
I certainly got a lot of good out of Philo:
13 Great people (1 free from music) 5 scientists, 4 prophets, 1 artist, 1 engineer. I used 3 for golden ages, got an academy, a shrine, 3 settled priests, Notre Dame, a se ttled merchant...
The mil city:
This is making something like 200 hammers building a unit, a lot of which goes to overflow.
Speaking of military:

Final thoughts:
The game went about as well as I could have hoped. The plan was to grow financially and tech wise and leverage my traits heavily. I certainly did that, getting a ton of money and GP's. I was fortunate that everyone concentrated on other people, of course.
I was suprised that Serdoa and TT didn't settle 3 cities right off. That seemed to be the obvious move and is maybe a subtle reason why fin was strong on this map - i could get my 3rd city out faster than the others because i could afford it.
