Stick, If it makes you feel better, I was also going to jump on Molach for his post concerning me. I felt like he was trying to butter up a bit ![smile smile](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/smile2.gif) But! The last couple of games I wished for a little buttering up on day 1 instead of the baseless attack campaigns that I had to endure. So -- I cut Molach some slack. That slack will not be extended to cover lurkiness however - especially not from the likes of him.
But I take his motives as either a) genuine or b) buttering up to gain some rapport with a villager. Even if I wasn't the target in question, I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that him and his buttering-up-target were both wolves.

eh, I was just asking if anyone else had already done the work of noticing who all are lurkers. As for me, looking through 16 pages to see who "didn't" post (via process of elimination) actually does seem a bit hard. I wouldn't want to skim and accidentally blame someone for lurking when it wasn't true.
If it was so easy, I'm pretty sure someone would have listed a lurker list already.
In other news, I am almost finished with my third Frederk Pohl novel. Pretty good sci-fi books if you ask me. I mean, they aren't "great" as far as groundbreaking or anything, but they are better than just spaceporn/militaryporn ... have a distinct level of sophistication in writing style (not snooty but not comic book either), and are reassuringly concise (only about 250 pages or so, 300 max).

haha nice character tag, Tasunke. Someday, your wish will come true and you will play the part of the Arsonist to perfection.
Jkaen did the work of identifying who was lurking (0 posts), I then repeated it a few posts later. Since then, the 3 players in question have posted. The 3 last to post were BrickA, Serdoa, and Mattimeo.
So... we have some very active players and some just 1-posting players. I do agree that we are not looking for completely silent players as the NAPsters, but here's an even bigger (and as far as I know unmentioned) reason to eliminate the lurkers:
I do not want to end up with a bunch of lurker partners when we get to an endgame. I want some people who are on top of their shit. The strength of arguments apparently is very difficult to discern - I need people who are going to be willing to peel back the onion - or cut through the rotten part - or <insert food metaphor here>.
Ok - time for some dinner.

True, the hole in my argument is if Molach actually believed you're innocent, waterbat. It's still a bit weird why your one comment would erase all lurker-hunting doubts in his mind.
I don't think I said that 'if Molach is a wolf, then waterbat is also a wolf.' I think I implied it, though. The main reason I thought you were a wolf was because I was worried that your bitterness was a show - it felt a bit over the top to me.
One thing with your 'kill lurkers so they don't survive until the endgame' comment: the wolves will probably hit the most active players or those with power roles, leaving a bunch of lurkers alive in the end anyway.
I think everyone's posted at least once, Tasunke.

I just realized that Molach never said he hated lurker hunters, just that he advised against hunting lurkers. Oops.

@ Tasunke, why the book review? It's just noise. For lurker checking, you do know you can click on the (Number of Posts) count next to the thread title and it'll pop up a window with everyone who has posted and how many times they've posted in the thread yeah? You really didn't know that?
@ Injera, that's a lot of compliments out of left field IMO. They're appreciated, but I can't help but wonder their providence.
I'd like to hear more from Meiz

"Providence" is just my thoughts from playing the last two games with you as a villager and me as a wolf. I'm not trying to butter you up or anything.
Do you have anything more to say about your prior vote?

This is a good question. That paragraph does nothing but make his otherwise tiny and unhelpful post look a little more substantial, at least until you actually read it. And getting the village sidetracked talking about some book doesn't help anyone except the Wolves. Plus that's the sort of comment I think a wolf would make to seem genial and ingratiate themselves with others without actually contributing anything of value. I could see myself having written posts like that back in WW I.
Therefore, Tasunke.
I realize that it's kind of tenuous to vote for somebody on the basis of a single ambiguous post, but that's the best I've got so far for Day One.
