Hey, I saw Anchorman 2 last night. I've got all the inspiration I need to be a successful journalist

Hunter S. Thompson could do whatever the fuck he pleased, including shooting himself in the head.

Spent yesterday with my brother before he flies back to military life, but I did find time to sneak a turn in and play t150 -- just not the report.
Hopefully other people can start remembering their commitments better and we can get back into a turn-a-day rhythm...
Turn 150
First thing's first: did you see all the whipping Lewwyn did before the turn rolled? I really hope that's Azza he's gearing up for, or dhalphir. We really need to be able to build some infrastructure if we're going to overtake mackoti.
Another city came out of revolt this turn, and I changed some tiles around to get Nets' borders to pop right at end of this turn. Note the grass wheat in Nets that this will let us be able to work, and it doesn't hamper Flames too much.
I did as Noble suggested and pillaged what was available with our wounded knights down by Azza's border. The one highlighted moved onto the grass hill mine S-S of it to pillage next turn.
And then farther west, we are just about ready to dotmap that uninhabited island by Nakor's old core. Two cities look about right, but hopefully a seafood turns up in the fog next turn. otherwise it's a pretty bleak island. Still, I think at least one of our next round of settlers are coming here to claim it.
Once we do, mackoti will no longer by all that far away...

A short story by scooter:
worst story ever Wrote:*scooter logs into PB13*
"Oh hey look, it's paused while we wait for dtay to play so we can roll the turn"
"Huh, now that the smoke has cleared from the war, I should see where our city counts stack up against our rivals!"
*clicks on mackoti*
"I'm a noob."
So in short, sorry pindicator, but we are currently stuck in a diplo window.
Uhhh, so this isn't a complete waste of a post, here's the only numbers I got:
Quote:scoopin: 25
mackoti: 22
I honestly did not realize we had 25. I thought it was closer to 20.

Well done, scooter! *applauds*
As the Americans learned so painfully in Earth's final century, free flow of information is the only safeguard against tyranny. The once-chained people whose leaders at last lose their grip on information flow will soon burst with freedom and vitality, but the free nation gradually constricting its grip on public discourse has begun its rapid slide into despotism. Beware of he who would deny you access to information, for in his heart he dreams himself your master. - Commissioner Pravin Lal, "U.N. Declaration of Rights"

I'm pretty sure everyone has done this at one time or another. And I'm sure that as soon as I say this, about 12 uppity Tommy Topper, one-uppers will drop by to say that they, in fact, have never done any such thing because they are so unbelievably awesome. And in the process they will further spam up your thread, much to your delight.
Whaddyaknow? I've in one fell swoop provided moral support and helped spam up the spammiest thread ever. Where do I pick up my trophy?

What if we've merely avoided it through the in-depth process of not playing Pitbosses? Do we still get to be smug and awesome?

Given that my post about being stuck in a diplo window garnered 5 quick responses, I'd say the natives are restless for PB13 to return with some real content soon. Fingers crossed, I'm definitely itching to get back at it.
