Hyper random little game?

accidentally click on Gavagai's thread. Thx to my moms slow internet, i caught it while it was loading.
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. [Image: noidea.gif] In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

Sorry guys, busy day. Anyone add a few hours to the timer? Most likely won't need it but just in case.

T100 overview pleases.

I'll get the turn when I'm able, in about 3 hours I think.

Guys, I am getting timed out. Any ideas? Is the server fine? Also, I think someone should extend the timer.

I can't check that the server is fine but I'm guessing it is since people are playing turns in the other games. But I'm not sure what the issue would be. frown

It looks like my university did something to its network that prevents civ from loading. Switching to a different network did the trick. Sorry, guys!

Maybe just a temporary 'IPv6 <-> IPv4 NAT issue'. In many network configurations the traffic of multiple sources gets converted into a single IPv4 source address.

To distinct the traffic of two users, the converter maps both source IP's/users to different port numbers. This map is fixed(!) for some amount of time.
Sometimes, the selected port number is zero. This port number is special because it triggers a bug in Civ4's network code. We filter out all packages with port number zero on server side. Otherwise the Pitboss server would crash.

After some time (hours?!) or with an other IP address in your university network, the mapping to port zero will be forgotten. Then you can connect again, I assume.

Thanks a lot. Indeed, I can again connect through my usual network.

Guys, are we allowed to accept more than one city per peace treaty? I accepted the offer of peace for two cities from Amicalola and only after that realized it might be illegal.
If we are not, then reload?
