... but I guess Pindicator is going to benefit from this quite nicely.
Oh, and then Magic Science popped third ring borders to kick me in the nuts further.

Don't worry HG solves everything.
BTW I'm not sure I understand your mechanics question. Why would capital work different then every other city? From past experience the HG pop increase is still first so you will need 2 more food.

At least the border pop happened before the pasture finished?

Less of a shark fin, more of a SCREAMING CLIFF:

...but I'm still way above Superdeath. What happened to him?
Gav offered peace. I reoffered. Thank you Protective.

I'm not delighted by peacing out with Gavagai, but I'm gutted power-wise, and I'm annoyed with Pindicator; my assumption was that he was holding Gav's power down up there, looks like he wasn't pressuring him at all. Ah well.
I'm in the process of turning 172 hammers into 376 food, an extremely efficient trade in my opinion. Sadly a large amount of that food is in turn going to be have to be immediately turned back into horse archers and catapults, but that's how this game goes...

You can't tell us this without then estimating how many hammers that food will be turned into.

Assuming the Hanging Gardens land I can run 7 merchants here for 5 turns, making much better-odds possible Great Merchant, with 30% Great Scientist. That would be ideally for a trade mission that in turn allows for 100% research during a golden age from the mongrel.

You can't tell us this without then estimating how many hammers that food will be turned into. Going to be varriable, but at least five cities will immediately whip into horse archers. I'm nervous about Bing's zooming GNP, he's close to wanting to try and expand somewhere:
...also pictured, why I don't feel safe shrining if it is a Great Prophet.

Counting down, two more turns...
Yeah, I'm going to need to whip a decent stack of at least 20 HA soonest.

Bit of a bother about the turn; Naufullboffer wanted to declare on Ginger, but Ginger doesn't play turns. I don't like skipping Ginger's turn but darned if we're going to hold up the game with no comment forthcoming from his sector about needing pauses. PYFT is king.
...which is another reason to kill Gav ASAP.
