If you need to act against a legendary culture city, nukes might work...

10 and 12 is correct.   smile

Nukes are in the pipeline.   If I can manage to get visibility on his 3rd cultural city they might make the difference.

Launched an assault on Commodore's lands this turn. Couple of bad die rolls meant I wasn't able to capture a second city, a couple more (3 failed bombing runs in a row) meant I was unable to cut a critical railroad, and it turns out that naval air and missile units can't Bombard roads so I was unable to cut a second critical railroad (this was the big one. frown ) and so I'm probably going to get both expeditionary forces wiped out on Commodore's turn.

But if I manage to hold for 1 turn I can fly recon missions to find Commodore's 3rd cultural city. And I'm swapping into Universal Sufferage next turn on the last turn of my Golden Age. So I should be able to cash rush 3 ICBMs in time to nuke all three cultural cities. I might be able to get an aircraft carrier into position to run recon flight and find the third cultural city.

But the nukes will be flying somewhere fun in any event. party

cash rush 3 icbm?! that sounds expensive but fun smile

I don't have much else to do with my commerce at this point. wink

And I've got a 100+ base hammer HE city and a 100+ base hammer IW city. Both of which are going into this turn with max overflow. So I'm looking at needing to rush a bit under 900 hammers for each of them. So ~5400 gold for two. Third one will be a bit more expensive.

Commodore went after my northern forces and made no attempt to push me out of my toe-hold.

So I ran a recon mission and found Pool:

F8 shows 4t and 44200 culture on hand so I might get to rush the three ICBMs for a grand total of 8148 gold. I have 9224 on hand. smile

But I don't think I get to launch them as I expect Commodre to win a well earned victory either when he plays t239 or on t240. goodjob

I won't be able to nuke him until 241 so no fireworks celebration unfortunately. frown

Good game Thoth, looking forward to the thread. I expected the ICBMs this turn, so couldn't nearly wait that long...

If I'd been a bit more on the ball towards the end I could have started Manhatten earlier and gotten the nukes into play in time.

And here too.
Thanks for reporting.
Games was relative tight and as such very interesting to lurk.

Final city screenshots of Kolvir (capital, Oxford, and NE), Courts of Chaos (Wall St, Shrine, HQs),  Tir Na Nog Th (8 preserve iceball Nat Park,  Morgenstern (HE), and Oberon (Iron Works and border city with Krill)

When I logged in to grab the final screenshots I was greeted with an event I had no idea existed:

A bit redundant in a post-Railroad world.  lol

I had fun with this one, got to build a bunch of stuff that I rarely do (National Park, Spaceship, almost Nukes....)  and try out some late game war toys for a change.  Turnpace was excellent (as expected) and it was  a lot of fun trying to overcome my shite land by maxing out all the non-tile sources of f/h/c I could find (Monk wonders and the joy of Food corps on a Totestra map).

and that's all folks!

Never seen that before either. Per this article it requires Universal Suffrage Civic and Industrialism, Radio Tech, which would mean it is possible, if unlikely, to get pre-Railroad.
