Roleplaying in a masquerade game is not anti-town. Villagers lynching other villagers because of their personality is anti-town.

Old Tom is not amused by the pending loss.

Do you ever listen?
RP isn't if it doesn't impede the town (like Percival, which tbh I think did hurt the town a bit), but bad when it's hurting it like yours did by being deliberately obnoxious and confrontational, which clearly a) poisoned the atmosphere of the thread and b) pissed people off which directly hampered the play and possibly caused a player to quit.
And I'll repeat, I would never lynch someone for personality. I'd want to, but I wouldn't do it because I have a responsibility to the other players, and I believe (hope?) this is true of every other player here. Ultimately, its the reason we rarely prosecute lurker lynchs, because while they would be good for people feeling frustrated by the play they'd generally be bad for the town.
You were lynched for your play, not your popularity. Don't try to revise the game.

Thanks Bert smile

Then we have to agree to disagree. I will always hunt the wolves when I am a villager, that is the aim of the game. I've learned my lesson in the past to not punish villagers for their personality or for making bad plays. If there was an effort to explain all my actions in the game and why a scum would make them, then kudos to you, but it was not visible in the thread so I can only assume that I was lynched for the wrong reasons. I don't think anyone's personality can be anti-town as long as village has pure intentions in their lynches. And even when the villagers do make lynches based on the wrong reasons, it's not the target that is at fault, it's the villagers who do it.

Well until I stopped reading because of how unpleasant the thread got I thought you were obv-scum making illogical claims, ridiculous assumptions and just abusing anyone who pointed out the flaws in your arguments. I can't be bothered to go and find those flaws now because that would involve re-reading your posts and I'd rather bang

I presume everyone else who said you should be lynched thought something similar, so I don't think you have anyone to blame but yourself.

Old Harry has right. We also pointed out all (well probably not all tbh) the stupid things you said at the time, and they were discussed enough that I'm pretty sure you understood what we disliked.
And yes, a player can be responsible for their own lynch. Not always by any means - there can be late trains that take you out like serdoa in '24, it can be a tough call that ends as much on luck as anything else - and even then, a player on the block sure as heck has a responsibility for being there (not always their fault of course, they may have been caught out or implicated by others). None of that is the case. Like Edith said, when the village is all but unanimously voting you for over 20 hours it's totally your responsibility.

Like I posted in thread muriel, you!were the reason I stopped caring for the game. You never responded to the post but I would add an addendum; I woke up every day dreading your posts, dreading the arrogant tone as you said something all the more ridiculous, as you argued nonsensically, as you insulted everyone - all of whom probably played better then you this game. Even when you died you couldn't resist stirring the pot. And then to come into this thread, and see you say that you did it all on purpose?!?

Seriously, Old Harry summed it up perfectly, we all pointed out the flaws in your posts, you either attacked the person or made obnoxious comments about everyone ignoring you (while ignoring their point/answering their questions...) and there was no way I would want to reread your spam just to post a massive case on someone who we had all discussed to death, and I will be very surprised if anyone felt differently.

Wow sour grapes much! We'll see after the game how horribly wrong or right I was in my theories wink

I'm really glad I got killed early in this game, i'd probably have gone crazy. I haven't read the game thread past my death, besides the day/night results. I'm just interested to know who is who.
