Up north today and tomorrow, staying at the same hotel as usual, but Wi-Fi is being absolute crap today. If there's no improvement, I likely won't be able to play again until I'm back home, around 8pm UK time tomorrow (trains permitting)

There's little more than two hours on the clock. Should I go in and pause the game? I'm currently in a turn split and would not be allowed to go in, but I doubt that me checking in would hurt the other person.

Fwiw, I don`t mind you (or anyone else) logging in to pause the game when in a turn split. Just leave a message in the tech thread.

Generally when a Major turn split is in play, asking the other player(s) involved if its ok to login to plan/screenshot is advised. Whether they grant that option is upto them twirl

I think logging in to make a requested pause is fine always, in good sportsmanship. Usual don't be a jerk rule.

Speaking of requested pauses, I may need one -- I have to work this evening (busy time of year) and there's a chance I'll miss my evening play window.  I might end up playing either very late at night or tomorrow morning.
