A really fitting song for these emotionally charged pitboss sagas :’)

Quote:Folklore holds that this was a shanty saved for the last duty of a voyage, after which all hands would disembark.

Yes it is an official concession as it has been the last whatever pitbosses I've used shanties for.

I think my most vulnerable moment was exactly when you decided to conquer SAC instead of joining Superdeath against me. Once you burned that stack against the Indian longbows I had a huge opening of 15 turns to research in relative safety while you completed the conquest and the rebuilt the military.

In the knight slaughter at the end those actually were not "A LOT" more knights in reserve, but the Arabian Camel Archer UU shining in all of its glory, boosted by a GG Medic + city healing bonuses dancing After smashing Pindicator's stack the previous turn, all of my knights were back to full health the following turn!

Conquest of SaC was me playing to win instead of just being king maker, which I really wasn't prone to do for Pin at that point.

Mind you he has done his normal thing of ONLY building his UU so he is super vulnerable to the stack of pikes that Cornflakes built as a response (as long as Cornflakes gets first strike with cats in). Honestly if SD had switched over and built a stack of maces and more cats he could easily march in.

Never completed Civil service. Was too busy trying to get enough units to be able to maybe stop Cornflakes bang

Settling on copper was a nice play. I did not anticipate that and I think if you had gone all-in on your initial attack on Money that you would have been successful. I did in fact misjudge your Impi's ability to reach the forest that I chose to chop so at the very least another Impi would have sniped the workers.

Towards the end when you invaded SAC I had some of my most nervous moments as your army was building up and Superdeath's Cataphracts were looming on the other side. I think there was a window of opportunity in there where you and SD could have coordinated something together, and I joked several times about SAC being the decoy distracting you guys while I skirted by and dashed forward towards Rifles.

Well played with your MoM into 24-turn GA, with the Great Lighthouse > Great Merchant conversion! I vastly underestimated how much ground you would make up in that stretch and I was legitimately worried about you stringing a 3rd MoM GA into Taj for a total of 44 consecutive GA turns! I was at first sending you War vs. Pindicator messages trying to get you to bully him after his successful conquest (and had my chariots staged to raze one of his cities from the fog through Superdeath's culture), but as I watched your rocket booster GA I decided that your GNP was much more scary in the long term and switched gears to egg Pindicator on against you.
