Anyone want to do a quick count on the votes? I'm seeing some big shifts, so I'd like to know what the situation is.

45 mins later I've finally caught up. I'd like to make these changes:
[strike]Dantski[/strike]
Sareln
[strike]sunrise[/strike]
Roland
Roland - I know you wanted my vote, but I'm not quite ready yet to jump on the Sandover bandwagon. I played on his team in PB3 and played against him in PBEM3 so it's safe to say I know his style pretty well, and yesterday was most definitely his style. If he was really a wolf, I don't think he'd be foolish enough to attract so much attention. If he is a villager, he'd be a good one, because his confrontational style can tend to bring out wolves. I'd put him in the top 3 of "Seer check this guy out" list though.
All that said, I think you have some pretty good judgment, so I'm voting Roland as mayor. I think you are reading into things a bit much, but I trust you and think you are a villager. If you turn out to be a wolf, then you are a dang good one.
The Dantski -> Sareln switch is because Dantski contributed quite nicely there. I still believe in my day 1 philosophy of nail someone quiet who might be carefully keeping their head down, and he's been the most quiet, so let's go with that.

Errr...? The simply quoting someone else was answering the question of another player. He asked a question that was answered already, so rather than explain, I quoted the post, allowing him to click on it and see. If you want to go quiet all day and then say I wasn't contributing much, then I don't know what to tell you.
Trying to paint me as suspicious of MJW is not even remotely accurate or fair. You'll notice I've never voted for MJW or even considered it really - it's faaaaar too risky. I was building the case that MJW's move could very well be a wolf gambit (something people agree with me on), although I don't believe it to be true. I felt it provided a good enough reason to scry MJW though, just in case, because if he is faking and it outs the true baner like what happened to fire&ice last game, we'll be in a world of hurt. I think MJW is the real baner, but there's sufficient doubt that the seer really should take a look. Rest of your post was fine, but I thought those two comments of yours were pretty off base.

Well guys, I am trying my best to write down my thoughts (after I only asked questions in my last one). Please understand that I need sometimes a dictionary when I read your posts (:wink2: Roland) and remembering everything afterwards is not that easy for me. So I simply need more time to get through this thread and even more to reply - meaning I don't reply if I don't have 2+ hours time to actually write something, in the fear that someone otherwise will misunderstand. Also I am normally working from 8-17 CET (gone early today to have time for this) and sleep from 23-6 and when I am at work I can read here but mostly won't have time to reply, especially in lenghty ways. Much less getting my thoughts together for this game. If those "issues" are enough to kill me off, you can do that the next days if you want, I can't change that and I won't take vacation for a game... oh, and I have a wife too btw, she wants to talk with me sometimes as well
That said, what do we have so far? From my feeling, many accusations without much behind them. Not that we can expect anything else on Day 1 to be honest, but still I think it is good if everyone reminds himself that we try to read stuff into some posts or into the post-frequency without having anything to really work with. Go through the posts for this 1 day - often enough people accuse someone to behave like a wolf or talk about typical wolf-behaviour only so that sometimes later someone else says that it is exactly the other way round. You are probably a wolf if:
- you don't talk much (...)
- talk much (look who are the suspects right now, some of them have many posts in this thread)
- explain your thoughts (don't say what the baner should do)
- you don't explain your thoughts (wolf who don't want to slip up)
I could go on with that. It is pretty easy to find someone to accuse as wolf if you want. I read several times that Roland posted so much, he can't be a wolf because he would have slipped up. I am pretty sure too that he is a villager, but as much as he can read into how other people acted we could read into how he acted and accuse him to be a wolf trying to save Rowain. Doesn't matter - we simply don't KNOW what would be typical wolf behaviour because we don't know who the wolves are. And I really believe that most here will act like always (see Cull, Dantski last game) and don't go out of their ways. Like scooter. He is normally a nice guy, getting everyone on his side. Look at PBEM3 and 7 Does that mean if he acts here the same that he is a villager? No, it doesn't mean that. Does it mean he is a wolf? No, as well not. It means he acts like he is ... surpise ... he. So lets stop accusing people solely on that they don't act differently then what we are used from them. Doesn't mean that we don't try to get people to post more, but one isn't a wolf only because he has posted ON DAY 1 only a little bit. As well as one is not a villager only because he posts several pages long replies.
So, my suspects right now? No one to be honest and everyone. I simply don't know. Sandover? Might be, might not be. Rowain? The same as with Sandover? Roland - similar. MJW? Baner maybe, maybe wolf... maybe devil. I simply have no clue. What I do know is that Sandover didn't have many votes on him and after Roland accused him, suddenly several people jumped on him. Pretty quickly. Maybe villagers which have seen the light in Rolands words - any maybe wolves which did see an opening to save one of there own. Either way, we know after the lynching.
Other then that I have not much to say for now. Sorry for being quiet, but as I said, I need some time to write and read and so I don't feel like restating what others stated already. Read the thread again, that happened quite often by several people. If that is all needed to be done to be counted as a villager then the wolves do have an easy time this game. Especially as everyone seems to think that they didn't learn something from last game.

I hear you (basically in the same situation )
Thanks for your thoughts. Now let's see if Sareln has anything to say.

What we can rule out 99% at this point
Roland + MJW are not the devil, they are putting themselves out as big targets for the wolves and villagers if they slip up.
What else do we know?
Sandover is going to ruffle feathers whether he's a villager or a wolf, part of the idea of catching the wolves is to find someone acting differently than normal.
Roland may or may not post at regular intervals, but when he does he will try his best to be constructive and address each point that people bring up. As far as I've seen he's responded to virtually every meaningful point whether it be to agree/disagree with it or just to discuss the matter. Whatever the case, he's a valuable asset to the village at present.
Serdoa and myself when called upon, have posted a bit more than previously. I'll leave it upto everyone individually to decide if thats significant or not. Sareln may not be in a position to post now or before the deadline so its entirely possible I've been unfair to him.

Wait so you're not suspicious of MJW, but you'll build a case that what he did was a wolf move? If you don't believe it to be true then why build the case?

@Serdoa I can feel your pain. The most reading/posting I do is during work as I have less time at home to do it.
And yes english isn't my first language either so it is some times hard to get everything or post without using the wrong words and offend someone (a problem sandover has).

Btw: I found something out I wasn't aware of that makes it easier to look up the posts of one player.
In the General Discussion forum click on the number right from this thread which represents the posts everyone did in this thread. You then get an overview with the posters on the left and the number of their postings to the right. Clicking on that number gives a direct link to all those posts one did here. So you can easily read up on what, for example, Cyneheard, posted till now here in this thread.
Sorry if you all knowed that, but for me it was news. I knowed that I could look up the number of postings but wasn't aware that I would get an overview of them by clicking on the number.
