The simple rule for waiver order is that as soon as you use your waiver, you go to the last spot. As soon as Kuro picked Hernandez, he went to 10th in the waiver order for all future claims, such as the Henderson claim.

I grabbed Henderson first, but I was messing with the waiver order, heh.

Didn't go after Newton because one game doesn't make a good year and I have Schaub/Freeman, who will hopefully be good enough anyway.

I didn't think cutting Bradford for Newton was a wise decision, either. Not when it would've been at the bottom of my waiver order. Although, Newton may have a higher upside, as he'll run the ball more often.

And @Kuro: I'm 10th in waiver order now b/c I must've made the last waiver acquisition; I was 7th last night.

sunrise089 Wrote:Right. Obviously there is a bit of strategy involved here. For example I was guaranteed my first waiver pick this week since I had top priority. I had to consider whether I wanted Starks, who I knew would also be claimed by at least someone else. So you've got to factor in how much of an upgrade a player is, how available they are likely to be, and how good the alternatives are.

I had Starks and Ravens both at my top, though I put Starks first. Feeling foolish for dropping him after getting him in the Kuro trade but I'm happy to get him back wink. This is why losing on week1 isn't the worst thing ever.

And I feel foolish for dropping the Ravens, but then again I wasn't expecting them to get 7 TOs against Pitt.

Also, am I the only one who finds it odd that two of our games last week were 105-86? (Me vs. Scooter, and Gaspar vs. Kuro?)

I don't think Newton will top his position or anything (reasons are simple to state: Arizona's secondary may be terrible, Newton's team is still going to want to run when they're not behind, and he is still a rookie and will probably turn the ball over) but he certainly has upside. I'd only not try to trade QBs too intensely because the position is so stacked.

Don't feel bad. Defenses are really random AND really matchup sensitive. I only grabbed the Ravens with my guaranteed waiver claim because it was a probable minor upgrade combined with awesome matchups (from at NE to vs TEN).

This is the only real reason I wanted them as well.

6 transactions pending and 3 of them are trading Hillis.

Welp.

Since it seems no more roster moves, I'll probably post my guesses later today.

Went 4-1-0 week 1, so that's good.

Still trying to move Hillis.

When are roster moves locked in for the week? As in when are we no longer allowed to move player from bench to line-up? I haven't made decision on Nicks yet...

I have no idea, but I would imagine early Sunday morning, before the games start?
