That means this curse stays with you where ever you go until you complete or abandon the quest. Zone to Undercity, drink the potion Tosai offers, quit the quest and be happily cursed for as long as you want

I'm back in town and will be ready for Nudist action on Tuesday, assuming we can get enough folks together. Will also be online tonight, and perhaps a bit on Saturday/Sunday evenings (have to start making up lost gaming time!!).
I've been reading the new threads, and am glad I didn't miss the Nightfall preview weekend, though I'm annoyed that I missed a bunch of other fun events. Teaches me to go on vacation.

- Cyrene rage quit the guild and apparently the game.
- Drasca rage quit the alliance I think and apparently the game (although sneaked briefly in a week or two back) for some real life stuff.
- Hureg rage quit the alliance and wisely keeps the alliance channel muted.
- Fox Bat has had an "I'm to sexy for this game" moment and is trying to find things to do in something he calls the real world. He mutters insanity of horseless chariots and other strange things while the forces of darkness rage across the land? Pfft!
- I refuse to support the alliance any further than finding other players for mutual teaming, while Wyrm dives into Alliance Battle at every opportunity etc etc...
So basically the guild is like a bunch of disparate dust motes zipping through the cosmos, each on our own journey, or occasionally getting together in two's and threes for things or crossing paths in the guild hall.
Oh how I yearn for the days of olde when we were mighty and would gather to slay Glint the dragon or wage war on thrice damned souls of hellish underworlds.

You missed...
- Dragon masks. They were pretty fugly.
- Rice wine inebriation.
- Some increased faction rewards, chest drop rewards etc.
- Access to The Deep and Urgoz's Warren, which the guild was too weak and too few to cash in on.
Overall you haven't missed much aside from not having to watch the guild fall apart.

What have I been up to?
IDK...not much apparently. I still haven't beaten Factions. I've gotten all my characters to at least the "Stolen Eggs" quest on Luxon side of Factions, so now I do not give a hoot about keeping my Luxon faction at 10k just to get the stupid quest to go further into Luxon territory (which I think is totally ridiculous in the first place). I go with Wyrm to AB on occasion, which is quite fun I might add. I do stuff with alliance every once in a while. I do stuff with alliance members every now and then. At least there's no more discussion about gaining faction. I have no idea how long that would last anyways once Nightfall is released.
Good to have you back...start gaming more!!!!!

What Stolen Eggs? I have been just clicking on okay and accept everything without reading, mostly. I couldn't really get into Factions and the first bundle of quests off noob island just turned me off, thinking I can't put myself through that (Kaineng area) again with another character. As is, I only have my Chapter 1 monk, Half Moons, a few hops away from finishing Factions (just so I have someone who can go anywhere), a Rit just landed at Kaineng and the Ass was deleted to remake Vex.
But I can't blame Factions for my lack of participation. A lot of it has to do with current RL demands, thus a lack of focus/purpose when I do log on. And, that's what a variant team is good for.
Right now, I am just trying to convince myself if I should get Nightfalls pre-order...

I shot Somewhat Zen, Kronin and Ice Blade past all that crap without a second glance because they amount to repetitive and worthless tasks to accrue skill points that I can't generate the gold to make any use of. Nah, I lie. The real kick in the nuts was the Imperial Commendations which chew up another inventory slot.
Just do the primary quests and ignore everything else, excepting maybe the triple Jade Brotherhood cape gathering excercise to get to Seek out Brother Tosai.

The quest you get from Elder Rhea AFTER you complete the quest "Befriending the Luxons" (collecting 10k Luxon faction and talking to Elder Rhea while having all that faction). As far as I know, you can't get into Gyala Hatchery without that quest. Which means you can't progress through the rest of Luxon territory. With ABing, its not that bad really, but I'd rather just get it over with now, collect my Jade, then focus on Kurzick side

After doing all those quests on about 3 characters, I learned to do most of them (I never complete the Brother Tosai Quest) in only a few runs in Wajjun Bazaar, Kaineng Center, and Undercity. The pain is coming back later and doing Eliminate the Am Fa, Elimate the Jade Brotherhood, The Shadowblades, the Challenge, and Lambs to the Slaughter. Although one run can clear all but the latter one which comes after completing The Shadowblades quest. Somehow I find a way to do all the quests.

The skill points system is actually a better system (at least a step in the right direction) than what we have in chapter 1, if they would only lower the gold cost for skills. The idea behind it is to let the trainers have a wider selection of skills from early on, to promote variety. For example, elementalists in C1 are pretty well all fire sorcies until they are high level.
