Werewolf 13: Lurker Thread [No Live Players]

waterbat Wrote:other than confirming at least 1 other person as innocent - do mason pairs have much value? I mean -- in practical terms, have they been put to good use on any of the WW games here at RB? I could see some interesting traps that might happen - i.e. put pressure on your partner, see who follows. I guess they get much stronger in the late game when each vote means more.
They are quite strong because they can (usualy) talk to each other and coordinate.
The Masons have been very good in WW1. In WW3 they didn't coordinate well leading to 1 Mason hindering his Brother Mason on killing a very powerful wolf which allowed the wolves to kill the Baner and win the game. In other games they have oproven to be so strong that they were removed/weakend int he last few games here.
weakend meaning they didn't know they were innocent. In WW11 one Mason was a wolf.

Ichabod Wrote:I can see the wolves having a really good time here. But as a villager, it was like the setup was heavily against me. It's not exactly about balance, it's about feeling like a useless piece of nothing as a villager.

I think
Ichabod Wrote:I'm also a bit disappointed about the missing players and the low amount of participation by certain players.
has alot to do with your feeling useless.

Ichabod Wrote:Besides, I'm not really sure, but I think the village can end up losing in this game even if we lynch a wolf each day...

Oh sure. It's unlikely, but possible.
Assuming a 2-2-2 wolf team set up, with 2 recruitables. 15 villagers start the game including the recruitables.

Day 1: village lynches a wolf.
Night 1: 3 villagers killed.
Day 2: Village lynches a wolf, but doesn't finish off a team.
Night 2: 3 villagers killed.
Day 3: Village lynches a wolf, but doesn't finish off a team.
Night 3: 2 recruitables turned, 1 villager killed.
Day 4: Village lynches a wolf, but doesn't finish off a team(due to recruitable)
Night 4: 3 villagers die.
Day 5: Village lynches a wolf, but doesn't finish off a team(due to recruitable)
Night 5: 3 villagers die. All villagers are dead. 3 wolves are left, one from each pack.

Hey all smile

Ichabod, if it makes you feel any better, I was totally lost even as a mason alright Sorry for that crackpot theory linking you and Zak lol

Continuing from where I left off:

Assuming Zak and Bigger are wolves and both of them are lynched. We will have 5 wolves killed without a single one of them being lynched by the villagers guess. Two died on silverbloods, three died due to Alpha scries and the shananigans around them. So, yeah, all my wolf hunt ends up being used for nothing in the end. Not that this has anything to do with the chance of the village winning, but it's related to the satisfaction I get from playing.

I think I may be sounding more harsh than I want to. I had fun with the game, but there are some points in the setup that made the game a bit worst for the vanilla villagers.

No problem. I have been a very bad villager in my last games. I just don't have the will to go and reread days and try to think things very logically. I just go with whatever seems suspicious at the moment. So it's not difficult to find suspicious things about my play too.

Not too fun for wolves either, that part. At least we got shiny toys to play with. smile
I have to run.

Yeah my blood was shiny enough.

Horrified they are wanting to lynch Bigger after Zakalwe.
Just riddle me this - why would bigger know rowain was a fat wolf if he is a normal devil? That would mean
EITHER
-Rowain lied about not seeing pack. (But why would he lie about this? He should have named Zak's pack to screw more with rivals. And if he had lied, he would surely have said "Okay, I lied, I do see pack membership, all devils (cough Bigger) do" to ensure a Bigger mislynch later.
OR
-Bigger, meaning all wolves, knew how many packs there were and what they were called. Yeah, right.
AND
-Bigger took a 50% guess and named Rowain fat rather than, say, tall. If he got it wrong he probably hangs (LaL).

Bigger probably has 3 charges or so, if so got to use last tonight, so not that great loss, but still. Lynching villagers is generally bad, sleeper possible exception.

Rowain lied about not seeing pack. His role PM clearly stated he could see the alignment and role of the player.
