Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

WW20: Lair of the Lurkers

Well I tried to put some pressure on Azza day 3, but no one really seemed to like the idea at the time.

It is possible to make day one fit with what we know:
-Lewwyn is nightkill and scan immune
-BRick scanned Lewwyn
-Mattimeo was blocked by Tasunke
-Serdoa targetted the jailee
...except why did Bigger fail? We know it wasn't Gaius blocking him.

The answer is obvious: A mass distractor blocks all non-killing actions.
I have to run.

Oh wow, just remembered something.

Common way of doing SK is give them a choice of being either investigation-immune, or 1-shot bulletproof.
So an investigation immune SK, as we look to have here, is actually a reasonably feasible idea.

god(s) damnit why do I never have actually useful insights like this when I'm playing the damn game.

Or that, I suppose.

So as long as tasunke remained hidden, nothing but kills would ever work? Seems like a gamble that he would be found or else nothing would happen

Now if its x-shot that would be more feasable

I assume it's one shot. Scum correctly surmised that Tasunke wouldn't make it to night 2. lol Besides, it has maximum effect on night 1.

@Mattimeo: Yeah, I've been saying for some time now that Lewwyn is immune to scans. smile

I think both are the case. A SK needs to be night kill immune and scan immune, really.
I have to run.

It is fascinating that although both Serdoa and Ryan have found the truth with the mass distractor role they are now both forgetting it.

For Serdoa and all others:

The reasons why I protected Ichabod:

There was still some doubt about BRicks honesty. Him getting killed confirms Ichabod beyond doubt so I guessed the scum might roleblock BRick and kill Ichabod and maybe try to get him lynched.
Or what if BRick is scum Ichabod dies and BRick claims he got roleblocked and sit easily on the confirmed villager status as scum.

Those 2 points where the main point why I tried to save Ichabod and not BRick. A confirmed villager is more worth then a maybe seer with unclear alignement. (Of course a confirmed seer is more worth than a confirmed villager)

Additional while I can explain why I protected Ichabod I would be hardpressed if I claim to protect BRick but get roleblocked and he dies.

Had I realised the "mass distractor" part of Tasunkes role I would have trusted Brick more and tried to protect him which would have ended not well either.

It would be harder to get them to accept the criticism but the play was bad wink.

Perhaps looking who pushed Gaz to go through with the duell, who offered Mat+ichabod and who pushed Matt later (and with what reasons) might reveal scum.

He has a lot of confidence in his reads, it seems. Might be a scum tell. Or maybe he has just grown a lot more confident after his strong play in the last game.

I agree on pindicator with both possible reads. I had Azza as town till D3 since then I'm not so sure anymore

Well, I can't comment on most of this but I think the fact that I got killed N1 tells you a lot about the identity of the SK. I had attracted enough suspicion that I would have seemed lynchable to a lot of players and some of the players who might have killed me as a SK are already dead and hence confirmed as not the SK. Who's left who would have considered me a top threat to kill on night one?

Now obviously since I know who the scum are I won't comment on who they are, but I can't imagine it would be hard to piece together.

As far as lynch strategy involving the SK - priority is hunting regular scum but like novice said, if you have the SK figured out and you don't have scum nailed, you kill the SK since you need both dead to win. The game has been pretty fascinating to watch play out - uberfish gets a ton of credit for being good at designing these games and somehow its still not enough. thumbsup
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

And also because that reduces night kills by 50%.

And yeah, excellent game, Uberfish.
