Interesting.... also, Marble...

Thanks for the explanation, GJ. Seems painful, though. Even as a CHA leader, that's a lot of unhappiness that will last for a while. Unless you have a lot of happiness resources that's going to stunt that city's growth, I would think.

Well, we do have a silver and an ivory nearby.

Parkin, what are your thoughts about how many workers we want before we pump out a few more settlers? I think we can get by on 6 total for the near term.

I don't think there should be a set Worker number to aim for... Worker numbers should be in a state of constant flux (ideally upward) throughout the early game. Six would be good to have very soon, but even that will be quickly obsoleted. I'd like to see us double our city count within the next 20 or so turns.

Turn 55

Building a Worker for 1 turn in Lusitania to take advantage of a chop, then will switch back to a Chariot to grow to size 3, then finish the Worker.

Specifically, GLH vs Pyramids? I think we should gear up to get one of the two very soon.

Either wonder would be good, perhaps GLH more so than Pyramids as the commerce benefit is passive and we have a decent amount of happiness as CHA.

I would prioritize the GLH as well. Pyramids would be nice, and might give you a little boost, but I think the benefits of the GLH would be stronger and longer-lasting in this game. If you had stone, it might be worth it because of the construction bonus, but since you don't...it's a long journey.

We do have stone in the south, Grimace. OTOH, I agree with prioritizing the GLH. Perhaps we can start building it in Titanic while growing onto some cottages once the Settler is done.

Turn 56

Didn't get screenshots apparently. Nothing of note.

Turn 57

Barbs approaching, Chariots waiting for decent odds to attack (otherwise will defend).

Found a city of suttree's.

Also found Barteq. Only just met him this turn, and we played first - so it may be possible to raze that city next turn if you want (assuming he doesn't double move us). Or we could be nice and leave it.

Both neighbours have 4 cities to our 3. Haven't had time to do proper micro for this lately, sorry. We're not far off #4 though.

I'm out for 24 hours, so if you want to follow through on Barteq's undefended city you'll need to play yourself. smile

Suttree, as Catherine of China, only has 4 cities?? Hmmm, something is up there, maybe a wonder attempt...

I have a bit of time right now. I'll see if I can connect (I have very good internet tonight!) and see what I can see...
