Dammit, just realized the thread title is "Infinite Happiness" rather than the much preferable "Infinite Sadness." So...it's rep over police state?

Hur, hur, hur I love you guys.
Tenth city just done got itself plopped down; Rastenford receives thus two immediate chops and the granary is away. I'm the 4th to ten after Taomack, Dtay, and Ichatep, by my count. You have no idea how much I miss Pro. The empire is lookin' good, but REM's power *still* is climbing, and even more worrying, he's stopped expanding. His precipitous climb began after he researched HBR, so I'm betting he's mainlining horse archers. Given the assumed rock-heavy military of Russia, then, I've been massing paper in the form of spears, so if he comes in with a sword avalanche I'm hurting. The thin green line expansion is a pretty successful landgrab; two more cities as you can see are about to go down and then its a couple fillers to full. I'm researching full-bore towards Feudalism at the moment; longbows and vassalage are going to be big. Knights by turn 115 won't happen like in PB25, but I can definitely reach them faster than the two immediate neighbors (and around the same time as Mack "Knigs" O'Tee down below REM, say turn 120). So if I hold out, this is definitely (ick) a winnable position...and there is zero point in *not* trying for the higher-variance gambits here. Gavagai is eating Grimace alive, Mack is a monster, Dtay is rocketing along, and Krill has weak neighbors...this ain't a place for slow and steady.

With the market, that's going to be 12, Representation brings us to 15, Confucianism to 16, and finally silks to 18. At which point health is really hurting, yes, because I'm painfully low on grains. But anyway, that flippant "17 by 1AD" goal sure seems doable to me. The golden age in 8-10 turns will allow the needed revolts, so that's nice. Four more cottages, one more mine, one silk plantation and this puppy is fully improved. My crop yield is in solid third place, and check out the two people ahead of me: What a shocker, Serblepar and Mackotao.
